WHAT: Shit is getting bad and Beleth is trying use the power of delegation and organization to make it less bad
WHEN: Now
WHERE: Kirkwall
NOTES: This is 100% player optional, no one has to have their character volunteer if you don't want them to. If they do volunteer, feel free to handwave as much of the studying / helping / reporting / whatever that you want to.

[ Beleth's tone is smooth and formal, as composed as it can be, though she can't entirely hide the weariness she's feeling. There's just so much to do--But hopefully, this will help. It feels...weird, to do this without the other leaders.

But. Here she is, doing it anyway.
]

Greetings, Inquisition. This is your Scoutmaster, Beleth Ashara. As you have undoubtedly heard or noticed by this point, it seems that there is a sickness moving throughout our ranks. This is unfortunate, but we've overcome far worse obstacles, and I know that we will do so again, as long as we work together.

In that line of reasoning, I am recommending that for the moment, we set aside the bulk of our projects, and turn our attentions towards the aid of our fellow agents. There are a variety of ways that anyone can help, starting with:

First and foremost, any healers--magically inclined or otherwise--are requested, to focus their attentions on the infirm. Myrobalan Shivana has been kind enough to put together a list of the affected, which will be provided to anyone in this group who wishes it. Your focus will be trying to alleviate the symptoms of the affected, and bring them some measure of comfort, if you can.

I will also need a handful of mages who are skilled in both combative magic and magic nullification, and are comfortable at handling security. Those of you who are interested, please speak to me privately.

The second group will be researchers that work with the healers. As the healers will need to be focused on the act of healing, your job will be to gather the data and study it. Your goal will be to learn if this is spreading, how it might be spread, how it was contracted in the first place, etc.

There will be a second group of researchers to try to learn if such a sickness has occurred before. If you need a list of books or writings or whatever may help, please send the list to me. If this has already happened before, maybe someone has already figured out a cure for it.

For those who are neither healers nor researchers, I have an important task: Making sure that we don't all overwork ourselves into a stupor. Your job will be checking that those of us who are able to sleep are doing so on a regular basis. That includes members of this group--no one is exempt. If you find that someone has been refusing to get rest, then you are encouraged to...encourage them. We will not solve this problem by running ourselves ragged.

And, finally, I will need several people from each division--aside from scouting--who are comfortable handling paperwork, forms, and day to day mundane tasks for each division.

[ Finally, a pause, then she clears her throat. ]

I know this is a lot, and that--especially for our newest arrivals--this might feel overwhelming. But I have faith in all of us. In the Inquisition.

WHAT: An announcement
WHEN: Present
WHERE: Kirkwall
NOTES: References to grief and loss.

This is Pel. I've just been informed that I will be transferring to Skyhold, effective as soon as I can pack my bags.

I requested this transfer. Between my position, my projects, my daughter, the death of one of the dearest friends I had in the world, I can't focus the way I need to. I'm missing my own child's infancy. Maybe it'll help to go somewhere quieter and do a less busy job.

You...you've all become my family. And if you need me, I'll be a crystal's call away. This is just something I have to do.

Hello, everyone. It's Colin, Inquisition storekeep. I've been seeing people making their own crafts about, and I thought if any of you want me to have a look, maybe buy up some of what you've made, I could be selling it in the store. Or I could keep it on consignment, maybe, give you the money as it sells. And that way, if-if you wanted to pull your goods from my store to...to make...

[Several seconds of dead silence. A few sounds are made under his breath as if he's retracing a thought process to himself. When he continues, he sounds nervous.]

Oh. Um. It's a little different either way. If I buy up your goods, I'll sell them and keep the profits. If you consign your goods, you'd pay me a commission for selling them for you. Nothing that would break anyone, it's just regular practice. So again, I'm Colin, and...things.

SENDER: Thranduil
RECIPIENT: Inquistion
WHAT: New, alive boss. (sorry, Val)
WHEN: Post Hello Kitty Island Adventure
WHERE: Kirkwall!
NOTES: Census time!

Good evening, fellow members of the Inquisition. I am Thranduil, a Rifter.

I have had the pleasure of meeting most of you during my time here in Thedas, numbering, at present, a little under two years. I have done my best to become a contributing member of the force dedicated to halting the monster known as Corypheus and his foul machinations across this land. As it becomes apparent that I may well be spending the rest of my life here, I have sought to educate myself on the manners and histories of Thedas so that I might be of better use to the Inquisition, who saw fit to host me and the others like me.

I have recently been appointed as the head of the Research division. I am honored and humbled by the appointment, and so vow to do my utmost to stand as an example of how we guests ought to conduct ourselves whilst also furthering the noble cause of the Inquisition.

[ he stops for a moment, to allow that to sink in, before continuing. ]

In that vein, I am announcing a reorganization of the division with an eye to the priorities most crucial to the Inquisition. Signing up for a meeting time may be done in person, as there is a schedule on my office door, located on the top floor of the Gallows, or over the crystals. I have no intention of requiring anyone to switch projects; rather, I wish to outline the standards I will be setting in place for communication, conduct, and reports.

Furthermore, and should they be willing, I welcome all project leaders who feel as though we have not yet properly become acquainted to come to my office and introduce themselves, as all members of the Inquisition ought to make use of the library and benefit from the information gathered by my department.

Again, it is a pleasure and an honor to hold this position. I thank you for your time.

[ gently, almost as an afterthought: ]

And, ah-- Maedhros Fëanorion, and Fingon Fingolfinion, [ why, sindarin naming conventions.] allow me to be the first to welcome you in kinship to Thedas. My office door is open to you as well.

[Private to Iskander, Petrana, and Beleth:]

I believe it would not be amiss to meet for dinner this evening, and discuss the new state of things. I have much to learn.

Taking suggestions for names to give to a dracolisk.
Nothing inappropriate, please.

[That's it that's the notice.]

[ Well here's a voice you don't hear very often. In fact, this is the first time Merrick has addressed the network ever. Are nugs flying somewhere? It's important, though, because while he did make a posting about this, he doesn't feel like it's enough. He mumbles softly in a deep, heavily accented voice: ]

Someone is missing. His name is Metaari. He is a qunari, over two meters tall, with curled horns and-- violet eyes. We got separated at Halamshiral. He has not returned.

I'm going to go find him. But-- [ He says this with great difficulty. ] If anyone has any information about where he might be, tell me.

[ A pause. ]

Please.

Aneth ara, Inquisition.

I was thinking, how do you feel about coming up with more ways to relax? I know we have the tavern, which everyone enjoys to the fullest, and the hot spring which has so many uses, but Sam - the blacksmith one - [Not to be confused with the Hobbit one] and I were talking and he brought up that I used to give massages and how sometimes people need more ways to relax. We're all under a lot of stress and deserve time to unwind.

What I'm suggesting is a sort of... [he searches for the word] spa? Nothing like what you'll find in Val Royeaux, of course, we don't have the space or the resources for that, but I know how to make oils and things that help keep your skin healthy and we could use the hot springs and help one another by tending to each other...

Let me know if this sounds silly. Sam and I tend to come up with a lot of silly ideas when we're together.

SENDER: Hellion Damsel Herian Amsel

WHAT: HONOUR!!!
WHEN: Backdated just a little, before the worst family vacation.
WHERE: Skyhold
NOTES: Info post. Herian's background includes themes of violence, torture and death, as well as discrimination and PTSD. While she will not in general be vocal about some of her own prejudices (against anti-Circle apostates and Dalish and nobles as some examples) it is very likely to come up in narrative and could come up in dialogue depending on interactions. Here is an opt out post if you'd rather certain things be avoided, or if you'd like to opt out of interactions with her in general.

( The voice is a unique one; perfectly clear and precise without being loud, soft-spoken without being in danger of losing itself to a gust of wind. It is markedly Starkhaven, tone measured and even and ever-respectful. She does not sound tired, or weak, simply controlled, as if that control is an easy thing, comfortable and well-worn. )

People of the Inquisition.

I fear I have waited overlong in making introductions. I came newly arrived to the Inquisition some months past— I am Herian Amsel, Enchanter of the White Spire, presently I serve amongst your ranks as Knight-Enchanter and member of the Mage Council.

My query is a matter of personal interest - an indulgence, mayhaps.

What means "honour" to you? What significance does it hold? What role have you crafted for it in your life?

Pray forgive me if you deem this an overstep; I simply have a mind to better acquaint myself with those about me, and with whom I share a common cause.

So, question time. I think it's finally time to get a tattoo, and I'm interested in references to a tattoo artist, if you know any. The closer to Skyhold the better...though actually, Antiva City would also do, because reasons. Anywhere within the Inquisition's reach is fine; I'm not in a huge rush, but...it's time, and I want to consider options.

Or you can just tell me about your tattoos and what meaning they have for you. I'm always interested in that sort of thing. If you're planning to get one, whether you have any now or not, that counts too.
