This is Pel. I've just been informed that I will be transferring to Skyhold, effective as soon as I can pack my bags.

I requested this transfer. Between my position, my projects, my daughter, the death of one of the dearest friends I had in the world, I can't focus the way I need to. I'm missing my own child's infancy. Maybe it'll help to go somewhere quieter and do a less busy job.

You...you've all become my family. And if you need me, I'll be a crystal's call away. This is just something I have to do.

[There's a little longing in his voice. As much as he hopes to raise children with Nate one day, there are no guarantees. His little niece might be as close as he ever gets.]

I'd like that. I know she won't remember me long, but she'll know my voice and that will be nice.

( She has no idea what to say. This isn’t new; Herian is not gifted in this. Her jaw works silently, unseen, clenching and unclenching. )

I... am sorry to hear of your departure. Do you anticipate remaining at Skyhold indefinitely?

( Perhaps it will just be short time, like her own mission; time for Pel to grieve and recover and return. )

I can't say for sure. I know I have to do what's best for Sina, and now I've the chance to go back, Skyhold will be better for us. But I have every intention of seeing you all again. I'll miss my friends.

Your presence will be missed, but I think that you're making the best decision for yourself and your child, honestly. There are no other children here, and I wouldn't recommend any coming here. I think you'll have a better time of things at Skyhold.

[There's a pause as Pel tries to gather her thoughts.]

We haven't always agreed. But when I needed you, you came for me. Believe me, if you need me, I will come for you, whether from across the world or across the Veil. I will move heaven and earth even from leagues away. Consider me your sister in all ways. I love you and I will miss you.
