Good evening, everyone. My name is Josephine Montilyet and I am the Ambassador for the Inquisition. I've not had the pleasure of meeting as many of you as would like personally, so... I thought this might be an easier, more - ah - approachable way of getting to know each other better.

( She clears her throat as though to prevent herself from rambling. )

I must confess I do not know where to start. Perhaps a conversational ice-breaker will have to do. ( So much for not rambling. ) What do you miss most about your life before the Inquisition?

I have been hearing less complaints about the kitchens of late. Is there still room for improvements?

I miss the Circle library. It was simply enormous, a great wealth of knowledge.

There isn't much to miss about being a Grey Warden, as those duties -and complications- still continue.

The library in Skyhold does leave much to be desired for, it is true. Do you have any recommendations for books you would like to see in future?

The Grey Wardens have always been a very secretive, but committed, order. Should a Blight happen again, we will be very grateful to have you.

( She misses not being part of an organisation which welcomes wilful apostates and Dalish.

She does not say that.

Her voice is calm, as always. )

I miss life before the mages and Templars began their fool war, more than life before the Inquisition; too many lives have been lost to it.

( A pause; ) And what of you, Ambassador?

( It does not take much thinking to come up with her answer. )

I, too, miss happier times. When there was less at stake.

[There's a wistful sigh.] I miss my brother and sister, terribly.

( Oh, Bethany. That feeling of longing, of wanting to be with one's family, is one that Josephine can empathise with completely. She finds herself curious, however, not about the Champion but of her brother. )

Have you heard from your brother recently?

Is the wine in the Inquisition's cellars not to your liking?

[ Ambassador? Seems important, wouldn't hurt to make acquaintances with them. But it takes her a moment to think up an answer that doesn't give too much away about herself, guard up as always. ]

It's good to meet you, I'm Delphine. A rifter here, so I'm from an entirely different world.

And I'd have to say I miss the technology from my world.

It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Delphine, even if it is under these unfortunate circumstances.

What technology is it that you refer to? I always find that rifters have the most fascinating stories.

I miss the comforts of my home as well.

( She can't begin to truly imagine what Jamie is feeling but she does her best to sympathise nonetheless. )

Getting to be by the sea and the docks every day. And my loved ones.

I miss the sea as well. ( And her family, but she doesn't say it in the hopes that it will be a given. )

Where was it that you used to live?

I would expect nothing less. ( Her answer comes easily to her as she has already considered it. )

I miss how simpler things were when I das younger. Life was... easier, I suppose, when there was less at stake.

Paved roads, a clear distinction between what is indoors and what is outdoors, and the regularity of beds.

I miss cities too, Varric. But for the better or the worse, Leliana is very convincing.

[ Dany hasn't met or even heard much of the Ambassador, but the introduction is... welcome. ]

I miss the people I was with. [ She confesses, after giving it some thought. ] They had become like family.

[ Even those who she had lost, or... especially those she had lost. ]

I had almost forgotten it is supposed to be summer. ( Josephine loves her job, truly, she does, but still, why must they be based in the Frostbacks? She makes a sympathetic noise; she knows what it's like to miss family. )

Where is it that you're from?

You mean aside from our families, our friends, and our lives in general?

[Sorry, it's a sore spot. She can take it down to one thing, that's easy - but it also reminds her of how much she misses him.]
