Good evening, everyone. My name is Josephine Montilyet and I am the Ambassador for the Inquisition. I've not had the pleasure of meeting as many of you as would like personally, so... I thought this might be an easier, more - ah - approachable way of getting to know each other better.

( She clears her throat as though to prevent herself from rambling. )

I must confess I do not know where to start. Perhaps a conversational ice-breaker will have to do. ( So much for not rambling. ) What do you miss most about your life before the Inquisition?

[There's a wistful sigh.] I miss my brother and sister, terribly.

( Oh, Bethany. That feeling of longing, of wanting to be with one's family, is one that Josephine can empathise with completely. She finds herself curious, however, not about the Champion but of her brother. )

Have you heard from your brother recently?

[She sighed again, pushing hair out of her face in a gesture that Josephine can't see... but the sigh is felt, all the way down to her bones.]

I have - but it's infrequent. He's never been much of a letter writer.

[Her mouth twists.] I would know if something was wrong, though. As horrible as that sounds - I'm glad for the connection.

( While she can understand Bethany's brother not being much of a letter-writer (Maker knows Josephine's own are hopeless) the next part of the other woman's statement confuses Josephine. )

The connection...?

Oh, er, we're twins. Fraternal twins, but still twins. So I would know if something was wrong ... and he would know if something was wrong with me. In fact, when I almost died he wrote me a letter the same day, asking what happened.

I have never heard of such a connection. I did not know such a thing existed. It must be... wondrous. If I may ask, what does it feel like? The 'knowing'?
