CLASSIFICATION: Public
DATE FILED: Firstfall
STATUS: Complete
SUMMARY: In an effort to soften potential past insults and repair/strengthen Riftwatch's relationship with the Antivan Merchant Prince, Bonaiuto Cellini, a number of Riftwatch agents were dispatched to an art show in Wycome featuring his work.

REPORT: Written in a hand which doesn't match Marcoulf's previous reports, or indeed his own (for he has none):
In accordance with their (MM. B. Royan, de Ricart, and de Vadarta, Enchanter Leander, and Lady Asgard) orders, agents of Riftwatch attended the Wycome gallery showing hosting pieces by the aforementioned Antivan gentleman of note, Bonaiuto Cellini.

Though originally skeptical of our overtures given the recent loss of certain investments, the responsibility for which has been rumored as attributable to Riftwatch's presence in the Waking Sea, we were able to both temporarily reassure Cellini of our investment in his welfare and divert less favorable criticism (specifically: of his artistic endeavors) which might have otherwise found its way to him.

The following was acquired:
    - The gentleman in question's finances are in dire straits, and his competitors are eager to take advantage of his reduced position. Name of note include the Luppis who are evidently eager to undercut him, although they have thus far failed to live up to their full potential due to irreconcilable differences.
    - Cellini reports that he has an ally in Ramondo Caliara. He also claims to yet have opportunities to expand his business with certain trade partners in Tevinter, although declined to supply further detail on the subject.
    - Cellini expressed an intention to forward a gesture of thanks to Riftwatch in return for its support of the arts. Ambassador Rutyer's name was accordingly supplied as a reference.

Respectfully,
X

NEXT STEPS: Formally suggest pursuing contact with Ramondo Caliara in an effort to determine why he remains invested in Cellini's business dealings; conversely, reconcile the Luppis and see, in exchange for their support in the war against Tevinter, that they are successful in undermining Cellini.

(In successive months, a distinctly unfortunate self portrait by Cellini will be delivered to the Gallows, ℅ the Diplomacy Division. Anyone who attended the show will be able to confirm that no, it isn't an insult; that's Just How Cellini Paints.)

SUBJECT: General Mayhem
PARTICIPANTS: Nikos, Kostos, Athessa, Aleksei, Vance & Marcoulf
CLASSIFICATION: Public
DATE FILED: Firstfall
STATUS: Complete
SUMMARY: A team was sent to Perendale to supply local resistance, discovered there was an opportunity to bump off an important Tevinter general so they took it.

REPORT:
Upon arrived, we met with [ several scribbles which might be attempts at names, before: ] the rebels in Perendale, who were so grateful for the supplies that they shared with us some local gossip about a Tevinter general, and how they were intending to go into the city to kill him. Considering ourselves honor-bound to ensure their success, it was decided we would take the risk ourselves and leave them free to fight another day.

Despite several obstacles, notably a surprisingly strong sickly boy, bees and perhaps more objection than we expected, someone managed to kill the general. (The more irritable of the two Nevarrans, or Marcoulf? Unlikely to have been the dwarf, based on where the stab wound was located.) Primus Alleion and the mayor of Perendale were also killed in the crossfire as we made our escape.

We were able to get to the safe house and flee from there, despite a lockdown order and widescale search for us beginning near-immediately. It seemed people were being pulled out for questioning and rounded up in the street, likely for questioning in hopes of finding us or our Perendale counterparts.
NEXT STEPS: Monitor situation in Perendale/generally keep an eye on how response to the loss of the general is handled across the board, look to prioritize ways to provide better aid and training to local resistance forces so they can take on these missions themselves.

CLASSIFICATION: Public
DATE FILED: August 9:46
STATUS: Ongoing / Complete
SUMMARY: Five agents were sent to drop pamphlets over the Ander camp
REPORT:
It was a lovely mission. The griffons soared. The moon was shining in perfect weather. The pamphlets were released in unison and timed perfectly. It was like poetry in motion. Never has there been a more successful mission.

There were no injuries. There were no attacks. There were no arrows in any body parts. There were no problems. Absolutely no one threw any mudballs. Edgard did especially well. He is a standout agent and should receive commendation.

Also, the griffons were extremely beautiful. They deserve double meals for a week.

NEXT STEPS: It was a clusterfuck, but a successful clusterfuck. The hot goss was delivered and will hopefully do its work.

NOTES: unrelated to anything

A question of great importance: who is the most interesting person in Riftwatch?

I am composing a list, which I very easily could make alone. But that is not amusing. So, the winner of the list will of course receive a prize. An extra point will be awarded to a Rifter, quite obviously. Points deducted for, hm, [totally at random here,] let us say.... Wardens. I have nothing against them. Once I admired them! Then I had my sixth birthday, and I grew bored with them.

All suggestions will be considered.

NOTES: A catch-all for trying to figure out how to get the jungleteers back home. If you signed up for a mini jungle adventure or a research assignment and we gave you some info that contained clues to the jungle's location, please share them here! Everyone else is also welcome to participate and try to sort out where they are and what to do about it.

SUBJECT: The Best Shade Plans
PARTICIPANTS: Barrow & Marcoulf
CLASSIFICATION: Public
DATE FILED: Late Drakonis
STATUS: Complete
SUMMARY: With the shifting front line in occupied Orlais threatening a collection of culturally significant Orlesian paintings, two Riftwatch agents were sent to travel ahead of the opposing armies and rescue the artwork before it could either be destroyed or confiscated by Northern forces.

REPORT:
At the direction of their division, Serah Barrow and Monsieur de Ricart remanded themselves directly to the Château de l'Orfort in Northern Orlais and there recovered the following works (since packed and crated appropriately for shipment to Val Royeaux):

x Liberation of Andraste
x Portrait of Blanche de Bienvenue
x The Fieldhands
x The Trials of Divine Joyous II

And some others which 'Did not have names either on the frame or the canvas, but may be identified by someone with a trained eye for such things.'

Having eluded a clash between Orlesian and Tevinter-Ander forces, Serah Barrow and Monsieur de Ricart returned here with all due haste and without delay other than certain conditions which might be expected of the road and weather given the season.

Respectfully,
X

NEXT STEPS: Not applicable.

Hey my dudes and duddettes, super important question.

What's the weirdest animal here that I can touch that won't like immediately try to kill me and does that include this zombie horse I just found in the stable.

Cus I wanna pet him.

Like super bad.

But I'm open to non-zombie horse petting options too, I guess.
