That said. Far be it for me to steal the Morale Officer's job; I would never think to overstep bounds in that manner. But in the spirit [poor wording?] of a new year, we should do something to banish the foul mood in the air, this malaise hanging around after...whatever you got caught up in. [Look, he wasn't there for that, but it's hard to miss the #mood that's permeated the aftermath.]

Who's up for a good old fashioned burning? [That is. perhaps a little too cheerful, the way he says it.] A bonfire to warm us up and burn away the things that haunt us. In a manner of speaking. Catharsis. Symbolism. Raze reminders of poorer times to the ground. Or get rid of unwanted stuff you can't give away, doesn't have to be that deep if you don't want it to be.

It appears there was a complication? On the night of Satinalia, for you all? C'est tragique. Normally if I decline an invitation for a soirée, I do hear later that they are disasters—but this?

SUBJECT: Strangers in the Attic

SUMMARY: A team was dispatched to Minrathous to move an Eluvian previously identified in an attic there into a more favorable location. Their ruse to clear the family from the home for easy removal was unsuccessful, and they resorted to burglary. The burglary also went badly. The mirror has been stashed in a condemned home in the city where it is likely to be discovered when the structure is torn down.

REPORT: Eluvian relocated to the 2nd floor of a condemned household in Minrathous approximately half a mile from the original location. The structure previously sustained significant fire damage and appears to have been left standing for some time, with no indication of when it might be torn down. Risk of discovery is high. It should be moved again as quickly as possible.

Our initial attempt to persuade the family to leave their home was unsuccessful.

An employee of the household observed us in the building uninvited after hours. We allowed her to leave alive, and all three of us will likely have come under suspicion and may be known to local authorities accordingly. Contact “Waverly” is likely also compromised by association. Prior to the attempted theft, we would have been seen together at the local tavern where we were staying.

It’s unclear how aware the family is of their attic inventory. With their knowledge of the burglary, they might correctly identify that a large mirror is missing.

I have included a rough map of the eluvian’s current location.

Any further interaction with this eluvian should be carried out with the knowledge that an active search for it might be underway, if it hasn’t been found already.
