A question of great importance: who is the most interesting person in Riftwatch?

I am composing a list, which I very easily could make alone. But that is not amusing. So, the winner of the list will of course receive a prize. An extra point will be awarded to a Rifter, quite obviously. Points deducted for, hm, [totally at random here,] let us say.... Wardens. I have nothing against them. Once I admired them! Then I had my sixth birthday, and I grew bored with them.

All suggestions will be considered.

Well, I suppose we cannot say it is fully dead if it might still kick you as you pass.

Perhaps Ilias the Speaker will have a better form of measurement.

You might say the thing inside of it slightly alive then. The skull's jar isn't mostly dead just because something inside it entertains conversation.

Better in a jar than in a horse, I'd say. Is that another valiantly deceased soldier?

Atrocious is a good word for it. My first thought was 'abomination' but it would be a shame for the other horses if the stables were burned in a panic.

If he's still dead, then why does he live in the stable and go for walkies regularly.

Because it is a possessed corpse. The second item of the description remains distinct.

Did he die valiantly serving Riftwatch and this Ilias cannot bear to turn him out into the wild?

Uh no, his soul is a soldier from the war with Corypheus that couldn't rest in peace til he saw justice brought once and for all against evil, but he couldn't return to his original body so he took the form of his brave horse that had fallen in combat.

Duh.

[positioning]

If I were honoring such a soldier, I would find him a better vessel than an old horse. Maybe he would prefer a bear, or a mountain lion? Has anyone asked?

[windyvoice]

What's wrong with being a horse?

[mildly offended tbh. ]

Nothing at all, only maybe he would prefer to not be a horse. Do you think anyone has asked?

[windyvoice]

I guess. I mean I feel like he made a real thematic choice here and also chilling in the stable is really awesome when you're a horse, but I guess we can ask if he'd rather be a bear.
