If someone is hungry, they may have one.

I can't imagine you'll have many interested with that description. What sort of bird are they from?

Could you describe it? If we can identify any unique wildlife you all encounter we might be able to determine where you are.

What do these edible eggs taste like?

Like eggs. And like birds.

That is too imprecise. I must taste for myself so I might have the true answer.

What else would I be doing with it, but eating? I cannot hatch it. Not in these conditions that we are in.

And it is already cooked. It would not hatch.

If you boil an egg, it makes the inside firm.

Yes, of course it does, but I prefer eggs when they are fried. I should have liked to have had the choice.

This is easier to eat while walking.

But I am not. And I want this egg to be fried.

If you want the egg, you will eat it boiled.

I might. But I will not like it so well.

You do not have to like it. You only have to eat it.

And I will. I want only for my discontent to be on the record, so when I give a review of this egg, it will be understood in the context of that record. I do not expect the egg to be responsible, as it was ill-prepared.
