All comments are screened, and responses will be used for an ic report issued to the Forces division. ICly the information will be kept centralised and confidential, with the intention of it being accessed only by treating medical personnel. (If you are able to do this by April 25th for the sake of us submitting the report by the end of the month that would be really appreciated.)

We got an assignment needs completing, but to get that done we need to get a survey done, so that requires plaguin’ you lot for some information about health and doctorin’.

[And kind of ignoring all those words she doesn't understand at all--] If you're concerned about who can read it, it won't be something nailed to a board where anyone can get hold of it. But so the healers know not to give you a thing you hate or can't have when you were stupid enough to land in their laps.

[Look she has so much faith in you people.]

But she’s right, medical shit is confidential, this is just to help make sure the Inquisition treats you right and in accordance with your wishes and all that. We’ll be using it to make a report for Commander Coupe, but beyond that it’ll be for medical personnel only.

All right, that’s--let’s not--get in our own way here, shall we. [That’s certainly helping.] If you’d feel better speaking to an Andrastian about all this, or just...a native, and you don’t mind it being a templar, that’s what I’m here for. [Simon doesn’t really get why all the preoccupation with fancy things like “privacy” and “confidentiality,” but if it gets them answers.]

And if you want we got paper copies you can fill in, or if you’d rather chat it out and none of us are people you’d be comfortable talkin’ with, we’ll grab someone else for you and figure it out. So uh— any questions, let us know.

[Even for an optimist Newt can't help but listen to his more skeptical intuition every once and awhile. And he's not sure about handing over so much personal information about himself for the sake of a survey.]

Yeah. I mean, I added in questions about any cultural objections to particular treatments and stuff, because I think that's— it matters. It's optional but, there ain't any problem if people don't wanna reply, this just helps medical staff be prepared. Oh, and I added in a bit about emergency contacts and stuff.

Just— I figure if you can provide this information now, then if you're in a state when you can't answer the questions because you're hurt, people can be treated in the most respectful way possible. Y'know?

As Alexandra said: there are things some people don't want to have. I'm forbidden to eat certain things, that's why I would want a healer to know that or it-- it wouldn't be right by me. By how I was raised to be given those things no matter the circumstance. Others it might make them more sick than when they started.

And then the healer has a sicker patient. Or a dead person.

But I understand that dossiers of private information are of concern to folk, they're of concern to me, it was why I raised who would have them.

Alright. It helps to hear this from multiple people. It's a good idea, overall, but I think people are right to worry about this sort of information falling into the wrong hands.

If this sort of survey is meant to be helping people, I'll support it and fill it out myself.

So people don't die or start screaming before, during or after when someone needs to get about healing them. [Quieter, more to her fellows in this:] Because the healing here is ridiculous.

Any questions in particular that are particular?

Um, just that, you are Rifters, correct? We have seen Rifters who would suggest remedies and things that are not-- I mean, healers work with the resources that are present and on hand. Herbs, and other materials. So--perhaps not ridiculous so much as. Limited. Or different. Not that you're wrong, entirely.

'Cause we was ordered now by Commander Coupe to do a survey, rather than some time sooner or later. If we were already doing the survey then it seemed like a good opportunity to make sure we had the information to treat people in accordances with their wishes.

So-- this survey is secondary to another survey? A survey within a survey?

Do you want only Inquisition members, or anyone present?

Goooooooood question. Uh, I guess Inquisition members makes sense, but f you’re needing to access their medical facilities for any reason or assisting on assignments then responding would be real useful, I reckon.

Should I note down that the healer in question here can do anything they please, then? Experimental procedures? Magic involving unpredictable spirits? Feeding you crushed-up insects?

What if you're unconscious, mate? Or too out of it for them to determine what treatment you're okay with?

It's optional, but there are some useful questions on there for anyone whose gotta be healing you.

This is an excellent idea. I hope we'll never have to use them, but I can see how they would prove useful. I've kept letters with similar notes on my person, just in case, but this would be easier for others to access.

Is this really necessary? How do you intend to ensure that this information doesn't fall into the wrong hands?

I think it is, but it’s totally optional, you know? If there’s stuff you wanna make sure medical staff know about your medical preferences or if you don’t want to be treated with magic, it’s a chance to let us know that. We ain’t gonna make you do it, though.

Why does Commander Coupe need a 'report' on our medical information? Unless this is only meant for people in Forces, I mean.

The report is more specifically on whether people are okay with different types of medical treatment - magical versus non-magical, if they're okay with Spirit Healing, which is a kinda contentious thing here, and being able to manage staffing in accordance with that. Managing manpower and staff is part of the Forces deal, including organising the medical staff and their resources.

The other questions are ones that Simon and Bronach and I discussed getting organised with her, so that the Inquisition could have idea about stuff like emergency contacts or how we want our body dealt with in the event that we die, and some questions to help with medical care. If people have any known allergies, for example, or if they have major medical history information that might be useful. That stuff is going to be kept centralised and confidential, so only treating physicians - or healers, I guess - have access to it. But it's all optional, I mean, if there's any questions you don't wanna answer or you don't wanna do the survey at all, no one's gonna pressure you.
