G’day, it’s Alex… again. Sorry mates, I promise you’ll be liberated from my dulcet tones as soon as I can manage to feel tired of my own voice.
( So, never being her very cocky and extremely self-deprecating implication. At the same time, yes. )
We got an assignment needs completing, but to get that done we need to get a survey done, so that requires plaguin’ you lot for some information about health and doctorin’.
[And kind of ignoring all those words she doesn't understand at all--] If you're concerned about who can read it, it won't be something nailed to a board where anyone can get hold of it. But so the healers know not to give you a thing you hate or can't have when you were stupid enough to land in their laps.
[Look she has so much faith in you people.]
Your bedside manner is inspirin’.
( Barely audible, muttered, and… not as hypocritical as it seems. Maybe. )
But she’s right, medical shit is confidential, this is just to help make sure the Inquisition treats you right and in accordance with your wishes and all that. We’ll be using it to make a report for Commander Coupe, but beyond that it’ll be for medical personnel only.
All right, that’s--let’s not--get in our own way here, shall we. [That’s certainly helping.] If you’d feel better speaking to an Andrastian about all this, or just...a native, and you don’t mind it being a templar, that’s what I’m here for. [Simon doesn’t really get why all the preoccupation with fancy things like “privacy” and “confidentiality,” but if it gets them answers.]
And if you want we got paper copies you can fill in, or if you’d rather chat it out and none of us are people you’d be comfortable talkin’ with, we’ll grab someone else for you and figure it out. So uh— any questions, let us know.

You say herbs and that's why some of the questions are there because herbs, for me, would be unacceptable for religious and cultural reasons. Limits. Even where I come from not everyone trusts that healing - alchemy - or is as comfortable with a spell given by a healer.
I already know that you can't pray things away here, I wouldn't suggest it unless someone's beyond hope. [Or if she dislikes them enough. Or wants to amuse herself. Depends how the wind blows.]

[Well, not of course. Though certainly it is not unheard of, for certain groups to object to certain--methods, or cures, or--]
Though--prayer can have a power here as well. Miracles, and things. They have been recorded. Not that it will be the same for...
So-- the plan would be for healers to carry books with this, uh, information listed inside?

No, I'm talking about when I'm so sick with bone break fever after a bear gets the better of me after weeks in the wilds and I can barely lift my bow, sometimes I think I'll have to crawl to the nearest town - it's as bad as it sounds, you're drained, tired faster than you ever were before - but I get there. I kneel in front of an altar after some priest or priestess clucks about how pale I look. Then it lifts. It's gone. It's not a miracle. I can see how it would sound that way here where what folk pray to is so far from them.
[Maker shunning his second kids same as the first. Human wife dead. Dalish Creators all locked up. Archdemons bloated if they haven't been killed. Your dial-a-god service is a little complicated here.]
Division Heads have access to it so it depends who you report to there, then whatever healer is about at the time you're in need would have access in that case. If it's being carried about that way by all the healers, all the time then it might as well be read aloud or posted on a board.

Um, if-- I mean, with the cards listing all of this information. I asked only because--if I were asked to heal someone quickly, I would be very-- I would like the thought of being able to read a card and to know, quickly. But I will not be in the field. So--your way will be fine. Probably. Hopefully.
[And then, because he's still thinking about it--]
Sorry. One last-- What is it called, the healing, where you are from? If not a miracle. Just-- curious.

[Reassuring. What a people person she is but the Bosmer way is the strict way, do not harm the Green and even here she's keeping it.]
How good are people at keeping an eye on their things? Let me tell you for free that they aren't else there wouldn't be thieves or spies existing, it's uncomfortable enough to have it recorded when history isn't so kind to everyone. Say the enemy was about, or just someone that hated certain groups in here it'd be a mess to put it lightly. Didn't think people got to stay back here though, thought it was all about pitching in, doing our share.
Restoration is for the spells, lot of healing spells; healing hands, faster heal, heal others, very bright and glowy, not the best thing when a mage does it to you in a dark place. The rest is just a blessing from whatever one of the Eight you're in front of. Or a Vigilant of Stendarr but they're a stern bunch of bastards, just as soon to turn on you if they think you're consorting with the wrong folk as heal you when you ask.
[Maybe if you would stop befriending every Daedra you meet then that wouldn't be a problem…]

Because, Maker's breath, what is happening, what is she talking about. All of this sounds very difficult and dangerous and risky and not at all Salvio's idea of--
Well, she's right about the possibility of theft, at least. Always a danger. Better to memorize sensitive information or, perhaps, never learn the sensitive information in the first place and then you never have the chance of losing it or even being asked about it.]
Yes, I'm, um. Largely administrative work, is my share. Personally. And I, ah, see the merit of your-- I mean, yes, it seems as if there are more options afforded to your healers than, um. Ours. Slightly chancier, perhaps, but if there is an awareness of the risk and a high chance of success then I suppose the odds might, um, outweigh the risk.
[But you could also just stay indoors and not worry about it.]

Our. Forces. Inquisition. [If her hands are in there, she'll jam all the fingers in. All of them. Right in.] People dedicate their lives to the faith and to being a mage, studying at the college. Not so many dedicate it to just paperwork. Here we have less choices, fewer chances. The odds are...stacked a certain way, the way a scolding mother might push a child to do better. So we should.
[Indoors. Where people are. Walls. Gross. Outdoors where there are zero walls, game to be hunted, no one to hear you screaming into the void? Much better. Everyone can hear you screaming in the Gallows because they can definitely hear you hissing, the staff look at her strangely enough when she's rattling around Salvio. Get outside, get some nature, howl at the moon for three hours and find your inner almost-peace.]

[Was that a real question? Now that he's answered it, Salvio is second-guessing himself. It is the frantic second-guessing of an anxious man who will think about this moment for years to come. As that battle must be waged internally, he has no choice but to move on.]
I mean, uh-- I do see your point. Certainly. Though I did study, I mean, I was at the. Circle. It's just that I am not very... I'm good at paperwork. But it is lucky for both you and I, that the Inquisition takes all kinds. Um. ["""Lucky""" but he does, in his heart, believe that.] In a way, this association, it opens--I mean, it ensures that there are more options open to us all. Rifter and mage and-- and, well, anyone. Nearly anyone.
