So, question time. I think it's finally time to get a tattoo, and I'm interested in references to a tattoo artist, if you know any. The closer to Skyhold the better...though actually, Antiva City would also do, because reasons. Anywhere within the Inquisition's reach is fine; I'm not in a huge rush, but...it's time, and I want to consider options.

Or you can just tell me about your tattoos and what meaning they have for you. I'm always interested in that sort of thing. If you're planning to get one, whether you have any now or not, that counts too.

I also only have knowledge about vallaslin, so I'm not sure that will help much. I hope you find someone who can.

Have you thought about getting any other markings aside from vallaslin?

[It takes a moment for him to respond, because grief is an odd thing and he doesn't want to just overlook hers.] That's a good way to remember lost friends. I didn't know Asher well, but he seemed the type to enjoy a memorial tattoo in his honor. If you need support while you get it, I'm here. [He knows she has other people who will be there for her, but he still wants to offer.]

As for me, I think I'm happy with what I have. I can't distract too much from my natural charm and beauty. [He can't be serious for too long, so a joke had to be put in there somewhere.]

Good point, it'd be tragic to divert attention where it's due. As it is, I think the vallaslin you chose only serves to enhance, not take away.

That is why I picked it. [Said lightly, so that it's hard to tell if he's joking about that or not. Most Dalish have deeply personal reasons for picking the design they have.]

I thought about getting a face tattoo before, but I think I'd rather not distract from my horns. At least while they're intact.

They are rather impressive.

You could always start with vitaar to see if you like it. Then get something more permanent.

It depends on the vitaar, to be honest. Some make my face break out, others really won't help if I ever need to take a more diplomatic route. But maybe Taas knows some that I don't.

Can you make your own designs using the paint? Or do they have to be the designs that already exist?

The vitaar recipe itself is best when you don't stray too far from the usual ingredients, but the design itself can be whatever.

So you could try out different subtle designs and see if you can stand it? Lots of humans have face tattoos, it shouldn't detract too much from your diplomacy.

Yeah, but they're humans so they always get some leeway. [And she likes humans, but you know.] Something subtle isn't a bad idea, though. I think there are a few designs that don't cover much of the face at all.

I think I've seen some that are just over the eyes, or on one cheek? That might work.

I think you'd look rather nice with it. You have very impressive cheek bones and the markings could accentuate them.
