Hello. Some of you already know me, but for those who don't, my name is Solas. I was the mage who first helped the Herald with the Anchor. I have been researching the remaining shards, and I ask that each of you that possess one come to see me - I will be able to soothe any related pain, and assess the condition of your shard, and of the anchor as a whole.
Also, if anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me here. Thank you.

... it's been a few months already. Goodness.

That was quite a few questions, in very few breaths, but I will attempt to answer them all.
At the moment, I would not attempt to remove the shards. The anchor itself was impossible to remove, without the death of the bearer, and the shards - though lesser in power - pose enough of a threat that I would not try it, without much further study. A few of the healers have already asked if I can teach them how to help with the pain, but without a good knowledge of Veil and Fade studies, I am not sure how able they will be to do so. I will be happy to help any mage make the attempt, of course, and teach what I know.
As for opening rifts - that is a very good question, but also a very dangerous one. And there will always be a chance of it going wrong. By their very nature, rifts are tears - disruptions in the veil between this plane and the Fade, and attract spirits from the other side, and destroy what they can on ours. Normally, someone who wanders too close to a rift, without the Anchor or a shard of it, would be torn apart. However there may be... other ways, of finding a way back to your world, using your shards. I have a few theories, but at the moment that is all they are.

I only ask about opening rifts because I know that someone here had done it before, albeit accidentally and with no positive results. I would love to hear your theories, even if they are only just theories. After all, every theory is just an experiment away from possibly turning into fact, so while I can't hope to be able to properly augment anything you already know, talking it out certainly couldn't hurt.
At any rate, thank you for taking the time to try and answer things for me, and if you'd like to meet to be able to look at my shard, all you have to do is say the word.
