Hello. Some of you already know me, but for those who don't, my name is Solas. I was the mage who first helped the Herald with the Anchor. I have been researching the remaining shards, and I ask that each of you that possess one come to see me - I will be able to soothe any related pain, and assess the condition of your shard, and of the anchor as a whole.
Also, if anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me here. Thank you.

... In general principle, yes. Is there a reason that you are concerned? I take it you are from beyond one of the rifts, then?

[His tone is helpful, and slightly dry.]
But if you come see me, I can make sure it doesn't spread. I keep my office at the base of the library tower.

Ah ... Master Solas? [That was his correct title, right?] I was wondering if you could help my friend and I with a project we were working on, if you had the time. It has to do with the murals we found in the Hinterlands.

[She knows his name; why does she know his name?]
I was unaware that the shards, themselves, could have a condition....though I suppose it is something I should have guessed at. They are, after all, shards.
I will gladly meet with you; I should very much like to know the state of the power embedded within my arm.

Excellent. I make my office in the lower floor of the library tower. You may come see me at your earliest convenience.

It is something that I have learned through many long years, but I am not certain how easy it will be to communicate to someone else.

But if there is a way to remove them, I would like to discover it. It may be that they do not share that quality with their original form.

And she doesn't know this Solas. There's something unnerving about these crystals. It doesn't feel right to meet someone without actually meeting them. She wants to be able to hear someone's pulse, smell their adrenaline...]
Mine doesn't hurt any more.

So he entered the room Solas took as his own asite he ever did before. Knocking, of course, before entering, but he was sure Solas was expecting him all the same.
Today wet dressed causally, the garb of a hunter - a Mirkwood marchwarden, or its closest approximation he get here, anyway - put aside for the sake of comfort and a tiny bit of flair. Rich blue lined with silver, embroidered discreetly that gave the fabric more depth together with black leggings. His hair all braided together, and pulled forward over a shoulder.
"Greetings, Solas," he offered a smile, coming in. "I am not late, I hope!"
He was neither late nor too early, he was right on time, in fact, but the playful tone spoke volumes about his seriousness.
WOOPS WRONG ELF
"Please, sit. I'd like to take a look at your hand, before we begin."

... it's been a few months already. Goodness.

That was quite a few questions, in very few breaths, but I will attempt to answer them all.
At the moment, I would not attempt to remove the shards. The anchor itself was impossible to remove, without the death of the bearer, and the shards - though lesser in power - pose enough of a threat that I would not try it, without much further study. A few of the healers have already asked if I can teach them how to help with the pain, but without a good knowledge of Veil and Fade studies, I am not sure how able they will be to do so. I will be happy to help any mage make the attempt, of course, and teach what I know.
As for opening rifts - that is a very good question, but also a very dangerous one. And there will always be a chance of it going wrong. By their very nature, rifts are tears - disruptions in the veil between this plane and the Fade, and attract spirits from the other side, and destroy what they can on ours. Normally, someone who wanders too close to a rift, without the Anchor or a shard of it, would be torn apart. However there may be... other ways, of finding a way back to your world, using your shards. I have a few theories, but at the moment that is all they are.

But a wizard's offer of help isn't so easily ignored, even if he's long since realized that the wizards here are nothing like Gandalf. The voice that comes over the crystals is wary, but determined to see this through. ]
But where do we go?

She's been itching to speak with him, but it's been a busy, and rather difficult, time as of late. ...And there was something about him... Even looking down him, so small from the very top... The way he carried himself. The sound of his voice as it floated up.
He was a little intimidating. Maybe more than a little.
Speaking over the crystal first helped.]
Hello. My name is Lara.
I'm in the Western Approach, currently, but if the invitation stands over time... There is some pain.

Greetings. [She bows in his direction] I'm one of the rifters, my name is Rydia. I'm here to have my shard checked. [Pain isn't a real issue, she still wakes up sometimes at night but it's something the woman can manage, she's more interested in learning more about those fragments.]

That said, he didn't speak on it, instead just bowing his head politely in her direction.]
Well met, Rydia. Please, come take a seat, and hold out your hand.

How, exactly, do you plan to soothe said pain?
[ Because he has concerns over his medical treatments. He has allergies, among other things, and a bad reaction in this world could rightly kill him. That, and he doesn't want to turned into an experiment, thanks. Not that he necessarily thinks Solas WOULD do that, but... he didn't actually know him all that well save for the fact he can smite some demons. ]
crystal;
[His tone is uncertain. Shard, they call it, but that begs the question: a shard of what? Obi-Wan likes a mystery, but he's not the kind of man to enjoy having one embedded in their flesh.]
