Asking the real questions

FORM: Sending crystal
SENDER: Kaisa
RECIPIENT: Everyone
WHAT: Things are tense, Kaisa tries to have a discussion that is Not Tense. Asking what people's safe word is counts, right?
WHEN: End of Drakonis
WHERE: Skyhold
NOTES: CW for discussion of sexual situations, probably with hints at bdsm or at least situations that require a safe word.

Alright, so, I'm bored, and the air has been kind of tense around here lately. So I have a fun survey for anyone who wants to participate. My question is this:

What's your safe word?

For any innocent maidens tuning in: Safe words are words that you say when you're knocking boots with someone and you need all activities to end, right then and there, no questions asked. If you've never been in any situations where you've needed a safe word, think up something that you'd never say during sex, unless you were wanting everything to stop. Go ahead, think on that. Right now. Hup hup. Let me know what you come up with.

I think that it's interesting to see just what people decide on, you know? It says something. Some people just go with something like 'Stop' because, Maker's ass, it's effective, and neither of you are gonna forget that shit any time soon. You don't need to explain your decision-making process but I might ask you if you got something really out there, just saying. Unless you're like 'And don't fucking ask, Kaisa, you nosy motherfucker', in which case I will be like 'Alright man, that's totally cool'.

I'll start out: Mine is 'darkspawn', because I figure if I'm shouting that at any point, I probably want to be ending any current extra-circular activities, anyway. And probably find some pants.

I have never had trouble indicating when I was no longer interested in something. \

[There's a growl to her voice. She is definitely not happy.]

And that one even longer. You see the purpose to make it a short word, I hope, one that will not take so much time to say?

[It's almost a shame, that he can't see her face, but probably the best for his health.]

I doubt I would be the one needing it. [it is definitely a threat, not a come on. Probably.]

['probably']

Ah, so you are the one that makes them cry out for the stop.

What I make anyone cry is absolutely none of your business.

[That's not a 'no'.]

Come, now, let us not speak so finally of what we do not yet know. It could be my business. Only time will tell us.

I feel that I know so much of you now, I must know more.

[In a complete deadpan:]

Will this questioning include continuing to treat me like a simpleton? Or are you going to endeavour to show a little respect.

[SIGH.]

[That's not a no.]

Do not fear. My questioning, it is always respectful.

[Her eyes narrow. Is he mocking her? Responding to this entire conversation has simply been terrible, in every instance.]

Ask, then.

Thank you.

[Look how respectful! There is nothing here to regret at all. Promise.]

So. To business. Is it you, that causes the crying out?

[Ugh. She considers just not answering, but...]

I prefer that to the opposing option. [That's not a no....]
