Working on that now. I'll let you know once I know more. If it helps, the book says the name's thought to be a corruption of "Seere" as in the city. I think that narrows the odds a bit, don't you?

Of course I have. Don't you bring a kit when you travel? I simply prefer not to hold a razor near my face while aboard a ship.

I mean -- I do carry a kit, yes, but it's got a tube of depilatory cream, not an actual razor blade. I doubt it'd last me a whole month.

You're right, though. Granted, I haven't shaved with a straight razor in, uh...quite some time. Starting to think I might be better off growing a beard.

Besides, practically no one is better off with a beard if he looks well enough without it.

[ cheerfully ] Oh, I don't know, there's plenty of room for improvement on my face. There's a whole medical movement to have my mouth sewn shut, even.

Oh, it's a real mixed party. Depends on who you ask. I've got a few COs campaigning for a full oral suture just so's they don't have to listen to me questioning orders, but if you ask my cousin Ivan, I'm a public safety hazard. He's got a real acute case of Foot In Mouth Disease, though, so his opinion doesn't count.
