You know, I cannot figure it out. Do we hate magic or don't we? Because Inquisition means something totally different where I'm from and I'm getting real mixed messages around here. Bad enough that some of you think that I'm like. What. A hallucination or something? What is the Inquisition trying to stop?

[A pause.]

Okay. Val Royeaux. That sounds promising.

The food is usually delicious, at least. They have food carts with all sorts of treats. It almost makes up for all the ruffles and masks.

No one's told you about the Inquisition's goal yet? We're trying to stop an ancient asshole magister from making everything go to shit. He wants to headbutt his way into the Fade to make himself a god or something, and the last time he did that, it almost unraveled the world. So, we're not keen on him doing it again. There's a lot of other things in play, but when you come down to the bare bones of it all, that's what we're here for.

Thing is, it's not as fun and easy as it sounds, since he pulled that stunt three years ago and we've yet to bring him down. It'll happen -it has to, or we're all fucked- but be prepared for a long haul.

Yeah, some people are just eager to be assholes. Of course rifters lack context that the rest of us grew up with, why not give it to them? I don't see what's so hard about giving some straight answers to those who need them.
