I took some parkour lessons?

So far I haven't gotten any good suggestions. You did parkour? How did that go?

It was slow and did not look cool at all, but I didn't hurt myself.

I hate running. I'd never do it for fun.

Yeah, well, at home I wasn't really sporty spice myself, but it seemed like getting a little better at getting away from shit quickly was a good idea.

[Cosima's history with field work is... not the greatest.]

[ Realistically, she will call Cosima mid-assignment, because is it really Sarah-and-Cosima if they're not whisper-yelling at each other over the phone (or phone equivalent) in times of danger?? ]

Do? Sometimes field assignments are fine, sometimes they get, you know. Demon-y. Or so I hear, at least.

[On the one hand, Sarah with things to do is probably better than Sarah going more stir-crazy in Kirkwall. On the other... Cosima can't help worrying, a little.]

Eh. I mean, we made a breakthrough a few months back, but otherwise it's just, you know. Slow chipping away at science in a world that doesn't know what science is.

[coppelganger]

A breakthrough? That's good, innit?

It is in the sense that knowledge is power, the more you know,

Like, it's great science-wise, but it's kind of unsettling in the sense that it creates a lot of questions about lyrium, and a lot of the Inqusition uses lyrium one way or another. I'm trying to make magic play nice with science and it's only going so-so.

Shit, yeah. It's frustrating for me being stuck here listening to people talk about vapors and humors, I can't imagine what it's gotta be like you for.

[ Plus the whole magic thing in general, though after some of the things that have happened back home it seems like maybe less of a huge deal than it would have been otherwise. ]

Most of the time people are happy to talk about what they're good at. I've tried to explain germ theory to a few people, it seems like it's taking. Microbiology as a whole less so, but hey, I've got a microscope so at least people can see what cells are now?

And magic's a whole wrench in the works, like, it demonstrably does stuff, it's real in that sense, but as for how it interacts with the laws of nature and physics, who the fuck knows? We need, like, Thedas' answer to Isaac Newton.

Are you still, uh. I mean, you do you, but. How hard should I punch him in the face if he gets handsy again?
