I don't know that I miss it; I think I once missed the idea of it. Do you remember the music?

I've only been here a couple months. It'd be pretty sad if I forgot already.

[ She starts out with her tone idle and playful, but as she starts thinking of more things to list, her voice turns more wistful. ]

I miss the instant gratification of posting selfies on social media. I miss being able to look at pictures of cats who forgot to put their tongue back in. I miss being able to wear short shorts and tank tops when the weather is too hot. I miss being really high up in the sky, and being able to look at the city, and see the halo of light around it—I know it’s technically light pollution, but I thought it was pretty.

[ Most of this is stuff Sarah's familiar with but hasn't necessarily enjoyed doing on a regular basis herself, so she focuses in on one of the things she can comment on: ]

And electricity. I miss that too.

[Holovids, easily adjusted lighting, better prepared food and better food storage... the list could go on.]

Electric lights would be nice. And a phone with GPS.

My friends. My parents. Getting my favourite food from the market stall on my way home from a night out because I can't get it right here no matter how hard I've tried and it's the perfect hangover food too.

[Two and a half years or something she can't get it right and it's frustrating.]

Electricity and decent food seem to be what most people are missing. Maybe if anyone listening is a cook, they can take a hint.
