Apparently someone has seen fit to play a prank upon me. When I find out who's responsible, you will regret it... especially if it's you, Anders. [That agitated growl comes into his voice momentarily. Then there's a pause and a long sigh, followed by the sound of vigorous scratching. Though the latter is probably tricky to entirely guess at, it's at least apparent that he's doing something in the background.]
I thought we were all above such behavior. Unless someone can provide a better explanation for this...
[But he doesn't get to elaborate, as he's again too distracted by the incessant itching.]

[And it seems to have spread more over time, which is just lovely. Ugh.]

What, you think someone dumped itching powder on your bed or something? I don't know anyone stupid enough to piss you off like that. Sure it wasn't coming into contact with something by accident?

It's the first explanation I could come up with. It's not as if... [He pauses, trying to get at an especially annoying area on his back. Ahhhh... got it, that's good... He lets out a sigh of relief.] ...as if I've encountered anything unusual recently to cause it. Unless there's some foul magic at work. I haven't ruled out that possibility.

[He pauses to make a really strained "uuuugh!!" sound.]
...Well, that's disgusting.
[Maybe she's not far off with the allergic reaction guess, after all, he's suddenly noticing.]

And why would demons be so invested in making someone itch?

[it's an inconvenience more than anything, but an especially frustrating one. His patience is wearing thinner by the moment.]
-I don't know what this is. And I'm not sure I care to describe it openly, but I've never seen anything like it.

[Does saying that make her more curious, though, he wonders? No, he surely can't have that. He's not too eager to show off the... actual problem, even to someone he's come to trust in some way.]

There's surely a cautionary tale in this somewhere about infusing lyrium into one's flesh.
[You know, as if a word of warning were even needed about such a drastic process.]

[His situation is quite different than others, after all, even if the lyrium commonality is a bit unsettling. He's a little bit wary of someone seeing this as a chance for experimentation of some sort. Yes, he knows it's different and for a different cause, but... yeah, no, he's going to pass on that for now.]
I have a friend coming over with some healing supplies, if that makes any difference.

[He has something of a routine since he's come back to Kirkwall. Even someone as reclusive as him needs a break from that isolation, now and then.]
