Good morning, Inquisition.
( It’s early afternoon, easily. She sounds very relaxed, and it would not be inaccurate to imagine her reclining on a sea of cushions and eating chocolate. Her accent is distinctly Antivan, and probably should be accompanied by a montage of vineyards and orange blossom. It’s just the kind of vibe she gives off. )
I wanted to apologise for any inconvenience caused the last few days by my arrival; the family estate in Hightown was not yet ready to receive me, it seems, and so there has been some to-ing and fro-ing. I understand one of the birds caused a little confusion.
( It trapped Finch in a cupboard. ) Please rest assured all the flamingos have been moved for their safety.
( And the safety of the Inquisition. )
I am Lady Marisol of the Houses Vivas and de la Nieve, Asturias and Hierro. ( Merchant Princes, nobility, pirates. You may remember her from such mage empowerment videos as GO REBELS GO and IT’S NOT SMUGGLING, IT’S SPECIALISED TRADE. ) You know, I had planned to be here a little sooner, but the weather in Antiva was so fine. I couldn’t bring much winter sunshine with me, but the Inquisition’s supplies have been replenished a little.
So! Is anyone here from the Rialto Circle? And can anyone explain why it is I should bring ships and staff to an Inquisition that took to destroying the Necropolis? I have some aunts and uncles who are very upset about it.
( She, personally, does not sound seriously concerned, but apparently she doesn’t sound seriously concerned about anything. )

That does beg the question of where your flamboyance of flamingos will live.
( But, moving brisky on, ) You know, I would appreciate a trained eye offering insight to the decisions being made. I have so many ideas, but my talents lie in different arenas, and I would hate to have the estate restored into an eyesore.

[--Val repeats, with appreciation.]
I am writing that down. I must remember that. I will include it in my next publication in some way, I have just made the deciding. I will tell you, my dear lady, that it is my intention to gather a menagerie for the Inquisition. Your flamingos must be present to be wondered at. I will not accept a refusal.
That said, I can give my great attention to many projects. It would be my very sincere pleasure to give my trained eye to your home. My experience tends toward true construction and creation, the conversion of these raw materials to objects of beauty, but I will confess my interest in smaller pleasures much like the designing of a fine home--and my taste, impeccable, and unparalleled. With my watchful counsel, your mansion would be very in the fashion. Of that, you may rest assured.

I am simply ensuring they are warm enough through this winter chill, in the special aviary that has been constructed at the estate. That is the one thing that was prepared in advance of my arrival. Some flamingos are for myself, and others will go to the Inquisition. I long to add some toucans to my collection, but I fear they would fare worse than the flamingos.
Ah, you are very generous. You will, of course, be rewarded for your expertise.
( Time for some sweet $$$ for Val )

[That being said--]
Here, it is your generosity that is the true generosity. To give me that reward, and a second reward atop it? Truly generous. I am moved beyond words.
Perhaps we might discuss special accommodations for toucans as well. I have some thoughts already--glass houses, heating by steam, things of that nature.

Perhaps we can arrange a time for you to attend the estate and consider the structure you have to work with - when we can avoid making plans that may not prove feasible.*
( *without her buying a neighbouring property and possibly destroying the reputation of one of her neighbours to help get it at a more agreeable price )

It is exciting, my lady. Can you feel it?
[A pause, for the feeling.]

This is fun, the pausing, the dramatics. And useful, in a certain light. )
I can. I am almost overwhelmed by the potential.
( Look at your plans, now back to me. The plans are now diamonds. )

Keep calm. I am confident that we can navigate this together.

and
exhale. )
Of course. I am very fortunate to have you here to guide me on this journey.

And in the meantime, my lady, I will await your invitation most eagerly.
