This city of Kirkwall, I am finding it lacking. Of course I have been occupied getting affairs in order, but is there nothing to be done of entertainment? One can only watch the same two dirt-covered rodents squabble so many times before one loses interest.

So I ask, what have people been doing for fun since coming to this [there's a pause like she's trying really hard to come up with the right adjective to describe Kirkwall and ultimately decides better of any of the ones that come to mind] ...place.

And by all means, if you enjoy watching the squabbling rodents, feel free to include that, everyone has different definitions of fun, of course.

I've outright said as much, but that only seems to inspire them to try. [Reverse psychology, only sometimes unintentional.]

Where else...I avoid Hightown, so I've no idea what they do for kicks aside from hang out at the Blooming Rose. Darktown is many things; you'll probably be stabbed or robbed or both, but you won't be bored. You know, if that's your sole criteria.

Oh I have a wide definition. Drinking tends to be a default, though I have found it is difficult to find establishments that have a decent wine selection.

Lot of traders come through with interesting enough stuff to sell, and entertaining enough stories. Besides that it's riding or free running, mostly.

... Most of the riding is outside of the city, of course but the views are decent enough when the weather is right and the breeze off the Waking Sea isn't so bad.
