A question of great importance: who is the most interesting person in Riftwatch?

I am composing a list, which I very easily could make alone. But that is not amusing. So, the winner of the list will of course receive a prize. An extra point will be awarded to a Rifter, quite obviously. Points deducted for, hm, [totally at random here,] let us say.... Wardens. I have nothing against them. Once I admired them! Then I had my sixth birthday, and I grew bored with them.

All suggestions will be considered.

An excellent choice and an excellent reason. I have thought the same. There are people with such a force of being that one cannot help but to look at them and think of them while doing so. This makes for a perfect candidate for this list. I shall add her name straightaway.

Tell me, as we are friends, was there a particular incident that caused you to mark this presence?

Wonderful! I'm sure she will be most deserving.

Now let me see, it was on that rather unpleasant trip to Orlais I took with Dear Bastien and a few others last month. Dear Nell was most clever and wonderfully commanding, if a bit strict. And she has the most delightful arsenal of spells! She threw a guard across the room and splattered his skull! It was very impressive.

It would fill a certain niche. A very certain. Very well, I shall take this down as a recommendation.

You would fight beside her. Would you eat dinner with her?

I can't imagine why I would not. I'm sure she's a very charming dinner companion.

And would perhaps not throw anyone across a room during the dinner. Or perhaps that would be entertaining. The skull-spattering could be distracting.

I can't imagine why she would! Unless someone gave offense, of course, in which case, a lady would be forgiven for responding justly.

I would hope that she would be forgiven, but alas, depending on the company, she may not be. I would forgive her, certainly, and defend her. Socially. She needs no defense in combat, that is clear.

I would as well, though I'm sure you would be far more adept at it than I, dear du Fonce. Shall we all three of us have dinner together, do you think?

What a suggestion! Do you think that she would accept?

I haven't the slightest idea! Shall we ask her?

We shall.

But not yet. I think that I want for her first to participate in my list. If I schedule a dinner with her, I might spend my capital with her.

If you insist, but I do so hope she says yes to both. I'm sure it would be a splendid evening.

How does one participate in a list?

We will make sure that she agrees. We will design a dinner so delightful and tempting that she is compelled to attend.

But the list. You are looking to be included, and to nominate yourself, in addition to Mademoiselle Voss?

Oh no, I was wondering what one does when one is on a list. I've never been on one before. Is it like having a title?

Of course it depends upon the list. This list has a particular function that I cannot yet reveal, but other lists have their own meaning. It can be like having a title. If you are on a list of beautiful people, or cleverest people, you might think of that as a title. But then you must question the origin of the list. Who is its author? Is their opinion to be trusted?
