NOTES: Research Questionnaire for people that have shiny things on/in their person.
This message is for anyone that has a shard in their hand, their chest, or otherwise on their person; Rifter or Thedosian or otherwise. If you are so fortunate or unfortunate depending upon your view of the shard as to have one I've questions for you in the interest of better understanding that which you have and what it means for your health, the world around you, and how likely it is you might attract demons in your sleep. At my current best estimate the odds are high in on last but I tend to err on assuming the worst and being pleasantly surprised when the world doesn't rain down fire, death, and the undead.
If you would rather speak in person and are in Emprise du Lion- I can be found in my healing tent. If not? I will return to Skyhold at the end of Guardian if you would prefer to wait to speak face to face or am available at all hours on the crystals.

[At her question, he matches her sigh with his own and shrugs.] Well enough, I guess. Still a few things I gotta get used to, but nothing too bad so far?

[ There's a rustle as she flips to a fresh page in her notes. ]
Your hand has not been troubling you?

[Like he's one to talk.] No, not as much as it had when I first got here....I've gotten used to it, only thing it does now is make hard to sleep. [He takes a sip of the tea, reveling in the warm feeling trickling down his throat. Yes, it was the light's fault for poor sleep, that's all.]

[ The sleep, now- that piques her interest. Or rather his difficulty managing the same. Her pen winds across the page. ]
Does it ache when you try to sleep- and that is what keeps you awake?

[Her question gets a pause, then a shrug.]

[ She does not quite roll her eyes, but it is in her tone. ]
Light, but not pain? Not strange dreams?

...I don't really sleep much anymore, so I can't really say much about my dreams. [He seemed a bit more closed off when asked about having "strange dreams". Well more so than usual.]

[He extends it out for her to look at. Not much has changed though, still there, and still glowing as bright as ever.]

[He gave a shake of his head while flexing his fingers slightly, opening and closing a fist in thought.]
Took me a while to get used to it, but I did.

[ It is a hand. And it is a shard, and where the two meet-
There should be an injury, flesh reacting as flesh does when something unwanted, unwelcome embeds itself within. But there is no infection, no tension. ]

[He flexes his hand once more. It's annoying certainly, but he's had worse, felt worse both physically and mentally.
Of course that could change in the future, like a cancerous tumor. But for now it seems to be about as stable as the others.]
