— Said and I think it's a really good idea, that we ought to be studying the stuff that comes through portals. Because there's like a whole project and everything, but I think we've all been more focused on making sure our hands don't fall off.

So, if you're a Rifter, did anything come through the portal with you? If you're not, have you found anything from one? What about people who vanished, do you know if they left anything behind?

Also say if we can we borrow it for some tests, and if it's alive whether it's got an anchor, or if there's anything else about it that seems, uh, 'Fade-Touched'? That's what you guys call magic, right?

Oh, in that case... A gun is like a crossbow because it's got a trigger and shoots out a projectile, but the projectile's a really small bit of metal called a bullet and it's got, like, gunpowder in it so pulling the trigger causes the powder to explode and shoot the bullet out.

[ She thinks. Look, she never took a hunter safety course. She was just handed some guns and told to aim for the zombie's head. If she's wrong, she's sure some asshole will correct her because people here looove doing that. ]

So I had a gun loaded with bullets when I fell out of the rift, but once I ran out of bullets I just started beating demons with it until it broke, so I just abandoned it. I don't know what the people in the city did with it. If they were smart, they melted it down and reused the metal.
