Those on the Galicia saw it first hand, but to those on the Walrus, the Venatori abroad the warship pursuing us have made us an offer of safe passage in exchange for the currently incapacitated Archon Radonis, who is aboard.
I would hope [ thranduil’s voice low and dangerous. ] that no one need reminding that the Venatori are liars and their promises worth nothing.
[ but there’s one in every batch who might think first of saving their own skin, and that’s why thranduil is hanging out with the (unconscious) radonis and his friend, a knife. ]
And I would think that we would far prefer to strike fear into the hearts of the Venatori after the ordeal we were put through in Minrathous, with some of our comrades still missing and presumed captured, rather than simper and beg their mercy.

[ the 'he's our ally'. having been a slave of tevinter, it's something he can say with confidence. just because a man was a ruler, it doesn't mean he should continue to be. ]

[ That's just not the mission, even if it ought to be. ]
But he's the lesser evil here. At least for now.

[ there's no real heat of argument in anything he's saying about the archon here. he doesn't believe it matters as much as either say, and doubts anyone gives a hot shit what he thinks besides. just making commentary. ]
Two division heads have spoken on it. They'll keep him alive, so long as no one seeks to be disavowed from the Inquisition. [ WHICH, FLINT MIGHT, FOR THIS CHANCE. but that's another problem no one else but he and Silver need to be concerned about. ]

[ There's more than one kind of slavery. Thedas has been very creative about it, and many of those quick to judge Tevinter would be more than glad to see Circles return. Personally Aro likes to judge them both equally. He'd no more kill the Archon than he would raze the Chantry. More violence cannot be the answer.
Not that he expects to find much agreement on that front here. ]
Anyway, none of this will matter if we don't get him on board.
