Those on the Galicia saw it first hand, but to those on the Walrus, the Venatori abroad the warship pursuing us have made us an offer of safe passage in exchange for the currently incapacitated Archon Radonis, who is aboard.
I would hope [ thranduil’s voice low and dangerous. ] that no one need reminding that the Venatori are liars and their promises worth nothing.
[ but there’s one in every batch who might think first of saving their own skin, and that’s why thranduil is hanging out with the (unconscious) radonis and his friend, a knife. ]
And I would think that we would far prefer to strike fear into the hearts of the Venatori after the ordeal we were put through in Minrathous, with some of our comrades still missing and presumed captured, rather than simper and beg their mercy.

When you say incapacitated, what exactly do you mean?

He hears him over the crystal, as well as aloud, and follows the voice, coming up to him with a hand that touches at his shoulder briefly. ]
We have a plan, but we'll need your abilities for it. How close do you need to be to a ship to put wind in her sails?
Re: action;
To make it move? Around fifteen feet. Why, what are we doing?
action;
Moving the Galicia. We have to engage the Venatori ship, there's no other option for that, but as it stands, the merchant vessel will be stuck in the crossfire.

So I need to move them out of the way.
[ Well, it makes sense enough. Fifteen feet seems a lot closer between ships than between people. He looks around, fixing finally on the crow's nest. ]
I can do it from up there. The spell is...loud. Painfully loud, to anyone close to me, but I can do it if you can get us near enough.

[ move them out of the way, but even up on the crow's nest, that's at least 100 feet up from the deck alone, and the deck is over 30 feet across. even if they come up right alongside her, that's the edge of his range. ]
We could also send you and a couple others out on a launcher ahead of the ship. [ his chin jerks to the smaller boats set upside down on the sides of the deck. launchers. ] It'd be quieter, at least, but you'd be vulnerable.
Or, stick you out at the very edge of the jib boom. [ which Vane has probably told him by now, is the long, thin beam sticking out from the front of the ship. ]

If I'm on the jib boom, I'm an easy target. They might hit me before I can summon, and in the boats...well, we could probably get close, but unless I row out there alone, it'll hurt whoever's with me.
[ He considers it, then shakes his head. ]
Might be the best option. They're less likely to see a smaller boat approaching, anyway.

I thought you said it was just loud.

Vane, I make storms. Have you ever had a thunderclap go off right beside you? Loud, yes. Not loud enough to shatter bone [ because he learns that at a higher level, it'll come! ], but enough to damage hearing, even burst an eardrum? Absolutely.

Do you know any spells that might cloak you?

I can hide. Cover my hair, lay low in a rowboat and cast it from there. Odds are they're not going to worry about that when they're focused on this ship, right?

[ please tell him you're one of the people who knows how to swim, Aro. ]

[ Luckily enough, he is. Also luckily, he doesn't seem intimidated. ]
Sounds like a plan. I'll get ready to move.
