FORM: sending crystal
SENDER: Jester
RECIPIENT: everyone with a crystal
WHAT: have you heard the good word?
WHEN: nowish
WHERE: the Gallows
NOTES: dick pics are always a possibility in this religion

Hello, crystal-people! My name is Jester and I am a tiefling and a cleric and a Rifter, so here I look like a qunari, which, if you don't know what a qunari is, I am really really tall and built like a brick shit house--

[Speaking to a crystal is weird. Jester is holding it up close to her mouth in case she is not easily heard through whatever crystals are made out of. Her voice (accented, something like Eastern European) comes through loud. All the more so because she is feeling a lot of emotion right now.]

And there are a lot of people talking about gods and religion and stuff, yeah--so I just wanted you all to know that if you do not have a god that talks to you, you can totally, totally worship the Traveler. Because he is a super-awesome god, and he will definitely answer you if you need him to answer you, like not always, sometimes he is probably busy or something, with god stuff, I guess, I don't know--but he will teach you cool tricks and tell you all kinds of new things! And he is very handsome, and he has a cool voice that you will get to hear too.

Because I just heard that people here do not have a god that talks to them and I think that is really sad, because the Traveler was really nice to me when I was lonely. And nobody should feel like they are really lonely, and if you do feel like that, and you don't want a new god, that's okay, but I will be your friend anyways.

And I have pamphlets that I can give you. About the Traveler. If you want to learn more, but you don't have to, okay?

Okay! And you can reply to this message. Okay, bye-eeee!

You're a tiefling! [ He knows what that is!! It's always something of a relief to hear familiar names; the Traveller counts, too, even if Aro counts no god as his own. ]

From Toril? I'm sorry your shape was changed in coming here. You're not the first I've heard of who had that happen. Are you still able to talk to the Traveller while you're here? Only, I thought that was impossible.

Oh.

[ Well, he can feel his heart sinking. ]

Oh, no. I've not heard of Tal'Dorei, I'm sorry. I suppose Toril isn't the only world with tieflings, then. You're the first I've met from anywhere else.

[ But that's not saying much, really. ]

There's at least one other, but I don't know if you've met him. His name is Chance? And, well. I met a Paladin whose connection with her god was broken through being here, is the main reason why. I thought that would hold true for everyone. No?

Er, well.

[ This is a very cheerful tiefling, he's discovering. It's hard not to find her charming. ]

I'm not sure. I'm sure she'd tell you herself, though. She's called Six.

[ The Paladin, that is, not her god. ]

And I'm a half-elf. I mean, I'm still a half-elf. I didn't get changed, so far as I can tell. Maybe because there are other half-elves here already, although they don't look exactly like me. I can't really explain it. I'm a sorcerer, too, if that matters. That seems the same here, too.

You mean aside from the massive green spike in my hand? [ You can almost hear the wry smile in his voice. ] No, I don't think so. I feel the same. People are different, though.

[ He's used to not really belonging anywhere, but this place is something else. ]

They all think I'm an elf, because my ears are a bit pointed. Apparently elf-blooded humans aren't like that here. So everyone assumes I'm a full elf, unless I tell them otherwise, and that's…very odd. Just a cultural thing, though. Were people ever scared of you back home?

I do!

[ That was maybe just a little bit enthusiastic. He should reign that in. He clears his throat. ]

I do. I've always found a warm welcome from any tiefling I've encountered. That's not the same with everyone, so. I wandered too, actually! I always have. Don't you miss it terribly, having to stay here in one place? I can't get used to it at all.
