idk my bff minor vandalism

FORM: Crystal
SENDER: Iorveth
RECIPIENT: All erry1
WHAT: Reacting to this, specifically the part about Rifter phylactaries.
WHEN: Right meow.
WHERE: Kirkwall, the Gallows announcement board
NOTES: Rudeness and vandalism. Open to crystal chatting and action!! Though he'll be storming off pretty fast after this.

[ For a long several moments, silence broadcasts over the crystal, Iorveth having just activated it after reading the announcement on negotiations results posted, lost for words. When they do come, it's like they're being spoken through a snarl. ]

You left to end the blood leashing.

Not push it off on the next lesser group.

[ there is a deafening thud that sounds before Iorveth's voice goes out, and anyone physically standing by the Gallows announcement board will have just witnessed Iorveth pull a dagger (with at least a foot worth of blade on it) free, and slam it through the notice and into the board, metal and splinters jutting out the opposite side, before walking away.

He mad. (And he'll come fix the board later, leave him alone) ]

I have discussed it with others. We cannot move too far or the pain will overtake us, but together? We might be able to survive.

[ It's not something that she wants, completely, and she does like some of the people she has met, but she doesn't do well being chained. It harks back to a time in her past she would rather forget. ]

They need our support to deal with these things - their Rifts, their Breach, the demons that come with that. They cannot turn us all away but I am sure there are some that would be willing to give in to this. [ As frustrating as that thought is. ] If you learn anything useful please, share what you can.

[ But his question seems to genuinely shock her. ]

Well enough. I have no magic here so I am likely no threat to them. I'm a woman with a sword, not a woman with power.

I have spoken with her. She seems trustworthy enough.

[ Of all the people she's met Inessa had been one of the few who had genuinely listened to Six and offered alternatives to her life here in Thedas - not anything she was properly keen on accepting, but a kindness nevertheless. It's not something she is truly capable of ignoring. ]

We can only do what is within our power. [ It's obvious that she's frustrated an on edge, however, and the sound of her moving, pacing, can be heard. ] I doubt they will want to upset us all, even with newcomers on the way. It would be easy for us to bring the new Rifters to our side, certainly when they are new and uncertain of this world.

[ The softness surprises her, just a little, and she pauses before she manages her words. ]

If you wish. I will not stray far.

She will be well defended by us, certainly. I will not let anyone harm her because of her support.

[ There are few who would stand up for Rifters, she's sure, especially given their position. They're useful to the Inquisition, there's no doubting that, but they're also intruders into Thedas itself. Six is under no illusions - their position here is uncertain and dangerous and she has to make sure that she protects those that are going to protect those that are weaker and unable to help themselves.

They're in a situation where it feels as though there's no winning for any of them and Six is aware of it. It frustrates her, leaving her on edge and keen to continue her plans to flee as far as she can. The only issue that arrises because of this is her desire to keep the rest of the people she has met here safe; her sense of justice won't allow anything else and she knows it.

Breathing out a soft noise, she nods. ]

Of course. I will be waiting for you, Iorveth.

[ It takes Six a few moments to actually move to answer the door - not because she's slow or particularly suspicious but because she's tucking a few things away, folding the scabbard of the greatsword up in its blanket and tucking it under her pillow. It's for the sake of privacy more than anything else - there are some things you don't want to share with just anyone, especially when you're not sure who is on the other side.

When the door opens and she spots Iorveth the tension that had built in her shoulders sags a little. There's no denying that she's not entirely comfortable in Thedas, not with a strange Anchor in her hand and the clear distrust the natives have for her, so seeing a friendly face is more soothing than she'd care to admit. Stepping back, she motions for him to come inside, managing a just-there smile. ]

Not yet, but there is still time. It has only been a day. Make yourself comfortable.

[ Six doesn't blame him for the caution; she lets him explore the space, like a curious animal, as small as it might be. She would do the same were she in his position, as uncertain and unsure as she is. ]

Perhaps. It is not rare for people to choose force over resolution sooner rather than later. [ She sighs. ] I would like to believe that they would choose to attempt a good resolution, but it is difficult to carry that faith.

[ Her eyes flick over him and she hesitates. It's difficult for her, to be around an elf who is kinder to her, gentler to her. All the people she had met who had looked upon her had seen her as half a soul, half a person, disgusting and unworthy. To be accepted and welcomed... ]

I think they are scared and are desperate to find something they can control. We are not something they understand, so they grasp at whatever strings that they have.
