You know, I'd been entertaining the idea of leaving the city, should I find I can't stomach it here. Save another incident of human heads put on pikes and a fire in the guard barracks. Leaving the city alone would just end in your coming back, or dying. The shards get agonizing if they're not clumped together.

[ Oh. There's an idea. How many Rifters here really want to stay around for a organization willing to catalog them like cattle? Let the ones remaining with the Inquisition suffer the pain of them. Or, start hacking off hands and taking them with on the road trip. He's legitimately not opposed to it. This is the kind of problem that comes with letting an extremist with a century worth of PTSD rattling around in his half blind noggin into your world.

But, he isn't completely batshit, and this is only a proposed law, not one enacted as of yet. There's still time to handle this without a riot. But, should it come to pass, all of kirkwall can bet there ass there will be blood split. ]

❰ that is an idea, actually, though how effective it would be is... debatable. with so many rifters being from so many advanced places with no survivalism skills, it may be just postponing the end, rather than avoiding it entirely. any attempt is better than none, at least.

We need to be ready to sabotage their research efforts. If they can't figure out if it's possible, they'll have to drop the issue. I work in the Elven Artifacts offices, close to the Rifts and the Veil project office. I could try something myself, but I don't think they'll be stupid enough to keep all their notes in one place and I haven't been involved in anything requiring this level of espionage before.
