idk my bff minor vandalism

FORM: Crystal
SENDER: Iorveth
RECIPIENT: All erry1
WHAT: Reacting to this, specifically the part about Rifter phylactaries.
WHEN: Right meow.
WHERE: Kirkwall, the Gallows announcement board
NOTES: Rudeness and vandalism. Open to crystal chatting and action!! Though he'll be storming off pretty fast after this.

[ For a long several moments, silence broadcasts over the crystal, Iorveth having just activated it after reading the announcement on negotiations results posted, lost for words. When they do come, it's like they're being spoken through a snarl. ]

You left to end the blood leashing.

Not push it off on the next lesser group.

[ there is a deafening thud that sounds before Iorveth's voice goes out, and anyone physically standing by the Gallows announcement board will have just witnessed Iorveth pull a dagger (with at least a foot worth of blade on it) free, and slam it through the notice and into the board, metal and splinters jutting out the opposite side, before walking away.

He mad. (And he'll come fix the board later, leave him alone) ]

From my understanding, serah, they were spread too thin to do so without sacrificing the wellbeing of our own native mages.

It wasn't much of a choice, given the powers massed against them.

[Gently,] D'you believe a rifter would have been more persuasive at the bargaining table?

I know what it is to be sacrificed without having a voice in the matter. So did our negotiators. Those of them I know--they wouldn't've perpetuated that. [Those of them he didn't--well, they'll get the benefit of the doubt for now.]

[Slow breath in. Slow breath out.]

Because it isn't a major tenet, serah, no matter what words others may have put in your ear. Our Lady repudiated slavery.

The history's longer than that, and mages were as involved in the creation of Circles as anyone else. Because it was better, [there's a thread of ironic amusement here,] than using their talents only to light fires--and better for all the rest of Thedas than mages running roughshod over whoever and whatever they liked with the Maker's gift.

[He pauses, considers, then adds more softly,] Our Lady repudiated slavery, but we've drifted very far Her word. She'd be no happier with the state of the Order as it is. [And not for all the reasons that might immediately come to mind.]
