So, question time. I think it's finally time to get a tattoo, and I'm interested in references to a tattoo artist, if you know any. The closer to Skyhold the better...though actually, Antiva City would also do, because reasons. Anywhere within the Inquisition's reach is fine; I'm not in a huge rush, but...it's time, and I want to consider options.

Or you can just tell me about your tattoos and what meaning they have for you. I'm always interested in that sort of thing. If you're planning to get one, whether you have any now or not, that counts too.

A griffon... [ She sounds intrigued. ] You know, that does sound like something fit to represent him. I couldn't, umm, well, I obviously couldn't represent him using a symbol of Tevinter. But a griffon is beautiful and strong. I think it's something to consider.

Yeah, a Tevinter symbol would be...weird. [It'd be like her getting a symbol of the Qun.] But his being a Grey Warden gives you options.

I hope he considers something to represent you, too.

I'm not sure what he thinks of the idea of tattooing himself. It's something I'll have to ask him.

Let me know. Now I'm intensely curious.

As to what he'd get to represent me? Hmm, I'm not even sure what represents me! Maybe... a lute? Halla horns? Or is that too Elven? That would run into the same problem as something too Tevinter.

Well, it all depends if he'd even get one. Some people don't like to do that to their skin.

A fennec, maybe? Or a hedge sparrow, since you turn into either.

Oo! What if I had a griffon and he had a sparrow? We'd each have winged animals.

That sounds perfect to me. Hopefully he has similarly awesome taste.

Sure! So far I've had Zevran highly recommended and Merrill has volunteered.

Oh, yes. I suppose Merrill would know how to do it. Well, I'll keep both in mind. And I want to see yours as soon as you can show it off!

It's a coming of age ritual, yes. Of course getting a tattoo is painful, but it's how you handle the pain that determines your maturity.

Does that mean that if I wince if we get ours that you'll judge me? [Said in a teasing manner, he doesn't really think that of her.]

I'll have to think of something good, but honestly the only symbols that come to mind are flowers and trees.

Or animals. Ellana's a shapeshifter, you can definitely run with that.

She does make an adorable fennec, it's true.
