(There is a strange light in his eyes - and if anyone knows of his father, they will recognize it immediately. Abort mission!)

Appropriate, but I like the first better. When you speak of your Nightingale, I do not want its use to be immediately understood.

[His eyes slide shut, content and he smiles.]

Morelinde, then. Yes.

(Maedhros pulls him into a tight embrace.)

Morelinde will never fail you.

[seawanderer]

[If he could purr, Maglor certainly would be! As it is he happily snuggles into the tight embrace, humming.]

No indeed!

(Each time they rest together - each time they speak - Maedhros is reminded of all the reasons he wants to protect this precious brother of his. He hates himself - utterly - for leaving him.)

Do you like nightingales, Kano?

[seawanderer]

[Maedhros has always been a source of comfort and safety for Maglor. Even at their least sane and most painful moments. It's why Maglor still fears Maedhros will leave him again. Knows it will happen again, whenever they leave.

So he'll soak up all he can until then, selfishly.]

I do... Their voices are beautiful.

I wonder if they exist in these forests? (He wants to find one - or a pair - for his brother. The pair could mate, nest and then Kano would have a whole flock!)

[seawanderer]

We could look? [He offers shyly, hopefully as he peeks up at his brother.]

I'd like to. (He looks towards the forest and gives Maglor a squeeze.)

I'm close with the other swords. But I started yours first.

[seawanderer]

Mm same. [Plus more time with his brother! He smiles brightly and leans up to kiss Maedhros' cheek.]

I should have done it long before. Forgive me. (He had presumed safety and that is never a given for them.)

[He'll just tuck himself close again ok?]

Forgiven, if only because I didn't blame you from the start.

You are too kind to blame me. (He wraps Maglor up protectively.)

[Fingers curl tight in Maedhros' clothes and he lets out a content breath.]

You are my brother, Nelyo...I love you.

[castintoflames]

(He lifts a hand to gently cover one of Maglor's ears, holding his head against his chest.)

I love you. I hope you know that.

[seawanderer]

[He nuzzles his brother's chest, content to lean against him and ignore the restless edge that's recently come over him.]

I know it.

[castintoflames]

(He knows Maglor can hear his song without any aid from him. However he focuses on his emotions - the positive ones - hoping to make his song stronger. He has reason to live and one of his main reasons is with him right now.)

I feel I have missed you for many years.

[seawanderer]

[There has always been one person who could calm him. The restlessness fades and he hums happily, echoing the love in song.]

I am here now.

[castintoflames]

(He smiles helplessly at the sound. Maglor can share the song with him though Maedhros is deaf to it. The sound is beautiful and he doesn't want to let his brother go.)

Why did you follow me?

[seawanderer]

[All the more reason for Maglor to sing it and share it!]

Why wouldn't I? You are my brother.

[castintoflames]

I was a miserable excuse for who your brother used to be. (He slides his fingers through Maglor's hair, setting a gentle rhythm.)

[seawanderer]

And I a shadow of what you once knew. A ghost. [...That's not fair! Maedhros knows playing with his hair like that makes him melt!]

[castintoflames]

Never a ghost, Kano. You are too warm for a ghost. (He is the perfect place to rest! Maedhros likes making good use of both his hands.)

[seawanderer]

Not when I first came here. [He reminds softly, still comfortable and cozy, nearly purring under his brother's hands.]

You were sick and sad. Your body was giving way to your fëa. (Maedhros kisses his brow, calming himself, bit by bit. His temper cannot stand against Maglor's contentment.)
