Inquisition, hello.
[ It's a friendly-enough voice, sort of husky without being unusually low, the common tongue spoken with the generic pronunciation favored by Circle tutors and just a hint of a muddled accent that's difficult to place beyond Northern. ]
My name is Nell, and I've only recently joined your ranks here in Kirkwall. I'd heard that the Inquisition's mages governed themselves through some sort of council, but I've yet to see hide or hair of it here. Was that only a rumor? I've heard quite a lot of rumors about the Inquisition's mages, it's not always easy to pick out the truth.
I suppose my real question is what is the status of mages here, exactly? And Templars, since I've see some about already? I'm eager to help the Inquisition in its fight, but I do like to know what I'm getting myself into.

I've heard of a number of Dalish in the Inquisition including you--may I ask how you all came to be here? I've rarely heard of your kind venturing into human settlements let alone...this.

When I first learned of Seekers, I asked the very same question.
[ She was given no answer then, and she has none to give Nell, now. It is just as disconcerting as the first time she asked. ]
Ah, yes-- [ It's been a while since someone asked her that. Still, she gives Nell the same answer most everyone else gets. ] There were two clans who sent people here. I am from Clan Ashara, [ In case the whole 'Ashara' as a surname didn't clue Nell in. ] who sent the sizable portion of the Dalish. We had a clan member who had been near Haven, and ended up helping the Inquisition. He wrote to us, and told us what was happening, what was at risk, and how the Inquisition was helping.
Corypheus is a threat to the entire world, the Dalish included. We recognized this, and a handful of us decided that we would make the trip to Skyhold, to lend what aid we could. And so, here we are.
[ That sounds better than her own personal reason, which was 'If Cyril and Merrick are left to their own devices, they're gonna get their asses killed by some shemlen fuckfaces'. ]
