Inquisition, hello.
[ It's a friendly-enough voice, sort of husky without being unusually low, the common tongue spoken with the generic pronunciation favored by Circle tutors and just a hint of a muddled accent that's difficult to place beyond Northern. ]
My name is Nell, and I've only recently joined your ranks here in Kirkwall. I'd heard that the Inquisition's mages governed themselves through some sort of council, but I've yet to see hide or hair of it here. Was that only a rumor? I've heard quite a lot of rumors about the Inquisition's mages, it's not always easy to pick out the truth.
I suppose my real question is what is the status of mages here, exactly? And Templars, since I've see some about already? I'm eager to help the Inquisition in its fight, but I do like to know what I'm getting myself into.

[There's a pause as she thinks back - such a long time without the mage council doing anything and life seemed to carry on quite well all things considered.]
All mages beneath the supervision of the Council were to attend a course to ward off demon possession though curiosly Grey Wardens were exempted. They came up with a thing they call Fade-training that much like the Council was a Circle by any other name sounded very much like a Harrowing. Again, Wardens were exempt. There's likely some lonely archivist with a copy of those particular minutes tucked away somewhere.

How were the Wardens exempted from all this? Do they have so many powerful defenders in the Inquisition?

Wardens are exempt from rather a great deal, one wonders what deals they have struck when there have been and still are so many within the ranks. You will find more than a few awed by tales of the Wardens but I was there at the Fifth Blight and only one Warden from then remains with them.
[Only Warden worth your damn time is Alistair don't let this go to his head she'll never live it down etc.]
