[There's some muted conversation occurring the the background as Loghain activates the crystal and considers his message; maybe he's inside a tavern or a mess hall, or close enough to one of those two locations that the conversation from within is impossible to get away from. He clears his throat.]
Greetings, Inquisition.
[Off to a good start, so far.]
My horse's tack is now rather worse for wear after innumerable weeks on the open road. Thus far I have had some difficulties [read: is being ignored by] connecting with Inquisition blacksmiths to take a look at her equipment. Looking for recommendations for decent blacksmiths in Kirkwall instead.

[She may not know the details of the Calling, but it's very obvious that older Wardens are very, very rare.]
You might be better off with requesting a place in the city, if you don't want politics punching you in the face all the time. [Probably literally, too.] It's pretty easy to get permission, and gives you more privacy than you'd get in the thick of things.

[Now that earns her a noise that more closely resembles a chuckle.] Yes, it ensures planning for my retirement isn't a concern, that's true.
[He considers the rest of her words, grimacing at the wisdom in them; still, to go that route feels inherently cowardly, to him. He gives his head a modest shake.] If I must I'll consider it, but I think it would be better for me to try to find my place among the Wardens here in the Gallows, first. I know well the dangers of isolating oneself from the people one disagrees with. Distancing myself from the trouble won't make it go away.

Do the Wardens have a specific spot there? I thought everyone was spread out.

Thank you, [he says instead,] for the advice.
