Excuse me. I would like to know if it would be possible for me to have or - also or to borrow any books which are not important to you. I am not concerned very greatly with their content - I would like a recipe book, if this is possible, but mostly I would like words written in the common language of the Inquisition.

I would further be very grateful if it is possible for someone to make time to assist me in learning to read these books. ( it's a little wry, rueful in a quiet way. ) I am happy to trade work for your time - I can clean and mend as well as any, and I know also simple remedies and means to make the hearth more pleasant.

I am a military wife, my lord, ( among a great many other things, and that is quite a way to describe herself, all told, ) I've not the luxury of wallowing in misfortune. If one allows it, there will only be more misfortune, and sooner than later.

I assume you are still in the process of determining how your days will be structured, and both of us will necessarily need some flexibility from time to time, but I find a standing appointment easiest all the same. I hope that I may shortly offer you more comfortable surroundings in which to speak, though arrangements are still underway - I am sure you have gathered you caught the Inquisition in transition.

You are quite right, as regards my time, but I am by nature an early riser; would a morning at the beginning of each week suit my lord? We might break our fast, and be fresh.
