I never thought I would return to live in this city, of all places.

[Fenris sounds less than thrilled. But he’s at least trying out this ‘communication’ thing for once. Varric would be so proud.]

How do you know when you’re truly home? What makes that different from merely a place where you happen to live?

[Honestly curious here. He’d once thought he’d almost come close to that before in Kirkwall, but at the moment, he’s not so sure. Maybe there’s just something... off... about returning to a place after a long time away. So much changes and yet remains the same all at once.]

The Templars must mean a great deal to you... I suppose it also helps that you share the same cause, the same beliefs. You're working together on the same purpose.

Yes -- even though that purpose is different now. We have a common history -- and a common goal in life. It ... helps.

I'm sure it does. The Inquisition, on the other hand, is far more complicated than that... so many groups of such differing histories and goals brought together... They may share a common goal, but I wonder how well they'll ultimately keep working together.

I wonder that myself - after Corphyeus is gone. So this is why I consider this place a good beginning. Just perhaps not a perfect end.

As long as Corphyeus is defeated... it almost seems inconsequential what happens afterward, though I know that's far from the case. I wonder if the Inquisition would disband at that point? Or would they find some new cause...
