[ If only she could reply anonymously--... But, the question strikes with unexpected precision and she feels more compelled than usual to make such an admission to a stranger: ]

To lose myself. To descend into madness.

And so being mad, you would not know you were.

Exactly.

[ What did her father think, in those last moments? Her guess is just a feeling of overwhelming fear. ]

What is your own answer, my lord?

You are the first person to ask.

[ Probably because he keeps asking everyone else questions, but. You know. ]

Boredom. For everything to be expected, for the status quo to remain the same. For nothing to change, to remain stagnant, just as it is now.

[unsullies]

[ There are much, much worse things in the world than boredom, but she isn't trying to start an argument. ]

You must have a very busy life, then, to work to avoid boredom so avidly.

[extramural]

Not busy, exactly. I see much, and I have lived for a long time. After several centuries, seeing the same patterns, the same types of people in power, everything- it is tiresome, dangerous to those with no power to change it.

[unsullies]

'Several centuries?' [ Well, that's something. ] You are not human?

[ Obviously. ]

[extramural]

I was born human. I was taken and merged with the Void of my world, changed into something else entirely.

I still look- mostly human. In this world, I am more human than I have been for four thousand years.

[unsullies]

[ ... ]

Do you prefer this world, then? And being more human than not?

[extramural]

This world is- different, and quite interesting for it. I do not miss the horrors of time and space that I see in the Void. But there are other things that I do miss.

It is a strange feeling, not to know where one would like to be. But as I currently have no choice either way, I suppose it does not matter.
