This is Obi-Wan Kenobi. I apologize for the delay in doing so, but I'd like to make an announcement; I've been appointed as the liason for the Rifter population.

For this reason, if you have a concern about a particular Rifter which cannot be peacefully resolved on your own, or if any Rifter has need of information, or support, please don't hesitate to contact me. I know we may not seem like any kind of cohesive group, but you aren't alone. Please, try to remember that.

[He clears his throat, then and continues.]

As for the rest of you, I have a question. Nothing too serious, just a little... oh, call it a thought-exercise: I first heard this one as a child.

[Kain isn't entirely fond of singling out rifters as a thing, or joining in on the meetings, never has been. But at the same time it's still good to see someone in that position for when it's needed, because it undoubtedly will be.]

I assume my bird could make it out on his own just fine... so I would choose to save my lance. I can't replace it so easily since it came from my world.

It's understandable, a warrior's weapon is such a vital part of who we are... [Though he recalls something from seeing him back in the Western Approach.] What sort of weapon was that glowing sword, anyway? I've never seen anything like it.

It's a lightsaber, a Jedi weapon-- something from my own world, and therefore not easily replaced.

I can see why it's so important to you, in that case... Is it magical?

[At least, that's all he can think of that glowing blade. Magic somehow focused into the form of a sword, though he has no idea how such a thing could be forged.]

No, it's a work of technology, though it'd be difficult to produce without a Jedi's skill. The alignment of the pieces has to be very precise, or you run into certain problems.

That sounds like something the Lunarians might have created on my world. They're known for battle-technology. So that blade is made of some form of energy, I'd assume?
