Hey, guys. It's Ellie. Uh, acting Griffon keeper for the next couple of months. And since we've got a lot of new people joining, I was thinking- it might be intimidating to just go up to the Aerie and introduce yourself to the griffons alone.
They're mostly just big babies, but I know they don't look like it.
[Also, said babies can take off an arm if they feel like, but details.]
Riftwatch has some griffon riders who take good care of them, but they have favorite people they bond with and a lot of them don't have anybody special.
So if you want to come up and meet them, let me know and I'll introduce you. And if anybody's interested in learning to ride -- griffons or horses, or whatever else is in the stables, I can teach you that too.
[ooc; Griffon riding is an AC Reward that can be purchased here until the system is updated! It can be done without threading with Ellie or anyone else about it, but if you want to thread it out heyo]

[It's not like she's not qualified, at least.]

Mademoiselle. Please. Speak with more conviction. The griffons are owed more than 'a shot'. They are miracles. You must have passion for them as such. Dig deep within yourself!

The guy on stage is performing or singing or something, and there's some dude in the audience being really excited about it. It keeps the performer on point, gets the rest of the audience all hyped up.

I have not often found myself in this position that you describe. Hype man. But if this is what you require--and out of my deep love for the griffons--I shall do my best to fulfill this. Only a very few have enjoyed this attention from me, so I hope you feel the honor appropriate and are greatly bolstered.
I suppose all manner of people are coming to see the griffons.

[A small laugh. It's probably heavier than the subject they're on right now, so she'll step over what she actually meant by old world.]
I feel very honored. And yeah, I got a few bites. We might actually end up with some riders.
What about you, Val? You coming?

[And if the griffons don't want him there for some reason, they'll certainly tell him so.]
Where'd you learn about griffons? I've mostly just been winging it.
[Haha.]

[--is a real laugh, not sarcasm.]
Very good. But I have had some education on griffons, of course--in fact I created education on them. Before my time with Riftwatch--and the Inquisition--I wrote and published an essay on the topic, after making a study and analysis, largely based on the remnants of their nest sites. It was quite well-received. Now that we have a set of griffons available for our study--and I am not being barred from their presence--I really should author a new edition of that work.
