I am a little new here, and perhaps I've missed something important, but is it common practice to lock up innocent people, for no reason? I was given to understand that this organization, this Inquisition, is meant to stand as some kind of bastion for all, a saving grace in the face of sure doom. Or is that just pretty words, to hide the truth?

[He pauses, just for a moment, but despite the lack of visual information, it has all the laser-like focus of a nun's stern disapproval. You have been found wanting, young inquisition. Shame on you.]

Seeker Cassandra Pentaghast, for those who might not have heard, seems to have decided that it is appropriate for her to act as judge, jury, and-- well, a law unto herself, concerning the behavior of Rifters. I wonder, with everything else that's happened since my arrival here, if she thinks no one has noticed.

[He means, perhaps, the issue with Anders, among other things. A good strategist knows how to use their shield; the timing wasn't the only suspect thing about all this, but it certainly seemed like a factor, to him.]

I'll get to the point: Galadriel should be freed if she's done nothing, or if she, or anyone else [Not to name names, Gavin Ashara] has done significant wrong, there should be a fair trial, open to public scrutiny. What happened here is, in my opinion, inexcusable.

Not in person, no. Although I have fought a few demons, which I'm told is a somewhat related experience.

[Only somewhat, he knows; Obi-Wan's tone is cautious.]

There does seem to be some contention as to the exact risk involved. It's not my area of expertise.

Not really. [Well sort of, but hugely different as well.]

You are one of these Rifters, then? [Urgh. People that he had to explain things too.] I have known an Abomination for years. He is more dangerous than you could imagine.

If you're referring to whom I think, I'll agree that he's dangerous.

[The man is a convicted terrorist; that the sentence to go with that crime is so controversial is beside the point. Though Obi-Wan finds it hard to feel any less safe than he had previously. After all, "dangerous" is hardly a difficult adjective to assign to the average person, in this place.

Of course, Obi-Wan has a very good imagination for danger. As bad as any one man might be, fighting on his own...]

[His tone implies a mild curiosity-- it's certainly a place you hear rumors about! But it's undemanding, just the same; he isn't asking, merely commenting.]

You've come a long way, then. And what do you think of all this? Precedent of the ages aside.

[There were many rumours from Tevinter. Likely only half of them true.

But he snorted at the question.]

You don't want to know what I think about it. It's likely less than complimentary of anyone.

If I only wanted to be complimented, I wouldn't have asked for an opinon-- it's clear that you have one, and you wouldn't have spoken up if you really didn't want it known.

[He can guess, after all he isn't exactly being pertinent or, in truth, any kind of fair to the Inquisition at large, or to anyone in specific. But then, that would be the point-- it's a calculated maneuver,if a blunt one.]

Don't hold back on my behalf, if that's your concern. Even a Master Jedi must learn to cope with disagreement. Particularly when we're wrong.

Innocents have been locked up since time began, it seems. And who the innocents say they are vary depending on who you ask.

As to what I think of this woman and her 'talents'. She is an unknown quantity, who has powers that we don't understand. I can't blame the Inquisition for acting as they have done. From what I understand, she isn't prepared to work with them but wants to do her own thing. Many of the leaders of the Inquisition have experience of how wrong that can go.

That's interesting. This is the first I've heard of such a schism. Everyone else seems fairly convinced that she's made every effort to dedicate her aid to the Inquisition, thus far.

The Lady Seeker seems convinced that she is working against the Inquisition.
