FORM: Sending Crystal
SENDER: Ellie

Anybody got any leads on good art supplies around here? Paints, brushes, canvas? I'll take chalks and inks and charcoals, too.
Willing to trade archery lessons. Or riding lessons, griffons or otherwise.

Are you looking to trade among our compatriots, or would you venture into the market were I to know the name of a merchant who might be of service?
no subject
Friend of yours?

The prices are fair, as long as you get off on the right foot.

I am a great artist.
[The latter statement is said with as much importance that can be offered by a man who is usually covered in mud.]

Yeah? You paint? What kinds of stuff?
no subject
[Obviously the mark of real talent.]

Okay, that's pretty freaking cool. Is it in the harbor? I gotta see that.

[This seems like an unlikely story, but it's true!]

Don't worry about it, it's just burnt wood.

[This is a lot of effort for something fairly inconsequential, but he supposes sometimes that's necessary, when interacting with other people.]
What would you want to trade? [Is that how this works?]

Purples are super hard to find, too. Makes sunsets a pain in the ass.
no subject
I've never tried a sunset. Flowers are about as good as I can do. You prefer working with paint?
no subject
Really? Sunsets are probably way easier than flowers, if you wanna get the shading and dimension right. Flowers have all those fiddly little details.
And yeah, I kinda swing between sketching with ink and charcoal, and oil painting. Sketching's mostly people, painting's mostly landscapes.
