There's a shop in Hightown that sells very nice inks. A bit expensive, but worth the coin, if you have enough. They have a shade of pale yellow that looks exactly like a primrose. It's extraordinary--I've never seen anyone get the color so right.

I'll put on my nice stuff and go check it out. That kind of yellow's almost impossible to get.

Purples are super hard to find, too. Makes sunsets a pain in the ass.

The shopkeeper gives surprisingly good deals to members of Riftwatch. I think he's our biggest fan in Kirkwall. If you can work in your association, that will help the price immensely.

I've never tried a sunset. Flowers are about as good as I can do. You prefer working with paint?

Really? Sunsets are probably way easier than flowers, if you wanna get the shading and dimension right. Flowers have all those fiddly little details.

And yeah, I kinda swing between sketching with ink and charcoal, and oil painting. Sketching's mostly people, painting's mostly landscapes.
