No, I wouldn't be upset. Maybe someone would be if they wanted to attend both and couldn't, but otherwise...

They wanted to be the only funeral in the world. But people die every day. There are always funerals.

They think the person they lost is so important the world should stop for them?

And other nobles should not be mourned at the same time.

I don't know if they really believe that. They might just be grieving, and want something easy to focus their thoughts on.

If it is so important, they should have one funeral for both people.

I think that's unusual, unless they were married or family in some way. A funeral is like...a way to remember someone, and say goodbye to them. It's harder to say goodbye all at once to two people who aren't connected.

It might have been complicated. I don't know so much about nobles and marriages, but if the families never liked each other...

Do nobles make everything this complicated?

Some of them do.

But it's not really to do with nobles. People would argue about something like this whether they're noble or not. It's just...more complicated, with nobility.

Do common people also argue about funerals on the same day?

Maybe. But we wouldn't hear of their arguments unless we were in their village. When nobles argue, more people hear about it.

I do not think dead nobles should be more important than other dead people. All of them are dead.
