This message is for anyone that has a shard in their hand, their chest, or otherwise on their person; Rifter or Thedosian or otherwise. If you are so fortunate or unfortunate depending upon your view of the shard as to have one I've questions for you in the interest of better understanding that which you have and what it means for your health, the world around you, and how likely it is you might attract demons in your sleep. At my current best estimate the odds are high in on last but I tend to err on assuming the worst and being pleasantly surprised when the world doesn't rain down fire, death, and the undead.
If you would rather speak in person and are in Emprise du Lion- I can be found in my healing tent. If not? I will return to Skyhold at the end of Guardian if you would prefer to wait to speak face to face or am available at all hours on the crystals.

[ Though by the sound of it- it might've been Bull. He's usually the first with the 'this shit is WEIRD' line for newcomers. Not that she can blame him.
Tea in hand she offers it to her guest. ]
Hobbits, one, but he is like you and not of this world, faeries no. But there are dragons, demons, darkspawn, and a myriad of other fascinating ways to end up dead.

Big dude, one eye, probably know 'im a mile off, but I know what you's talkin' about. Met miss Korrin early on, she real nice to be gettin' to know. Lookin' forward to seein' her fight some more, really knows how t' knock some heads, magic or not.
...that ain't the point. Forgive me ma'am, ain't all that good at controllin' my mouth once it starts goin'. Anyway, figure they's gotta be ways to be helpin' here, one way or another. Keep people a lil' safer. Miss Korrin says y'all got people what's got shit like this-
[He holds up his hand, stripping off the fingerless gloves he'd been wearing to show the mark on his palm and the shard embedded in the middle of it.]
-that's been closin' them rift things like what I come through. Don't hurt like it did, n' thank whatever powers be that it ain't throbbin' no more.

[ Then again at her height most everyone is fairly 'large', but that goes without saying. ]
As long as you are not horrifically offensive or vulgar [ Like Church. ] I do not mind it.
[ She sets her tea aside for the moment, extending her hand to his. ]
May I? The shards are what I am attempting to study in this- and how they effect those that carry them.

Heard it a couple times that people won't used to how I be usin' m' words. Tryin'a reel that back in's been weird. You don't mind my doin' so, more used to talkin' lil' fuckin' more like this. Growed up with not many around what cared what language I used, long as I wasn't goin' outta my way to be hurtin' no feelin's.

Cultural differences.
[ The grossest understatement possible for something that went beyond mere culture and more reality- but she's trying not to think of it as so large a thing. Her hand is gentle under his, fingers faintly warm as her eyes glow with Compassion's power. ]
How long did it take for the pain to fade?
action
Walked for about fuckin'...I wanna say twenty minutes or so, 'fore I found the village. It still hurt by the time miss Korrin happened in, but wasn't too bad. Flared up when I used it to be helpin' shut that rift down, but after that it kinda faded. Still feel my pulse in it, but I figure that'll be stoppin' soon. Lady by name'a Christine saw to it earlier, used some easy healin' on it so it wa'n't sore no more.
action
[ The same blue glow in her eyes flares around her hands, a contrast to the green light from the mark. ]
Have you lost any sensation in your fingertips?
