Well, yeah, you can, but it's... I dunno. Imprecise. Like punching something as opposed to pressing your fingertip on it. Maybe that's stupid. I don't actually know what I'm talking about.

At the top, I reckon. Sort of like a spear? 'Cause then I'll be less likely to grab hold of a bit what's sharp.

...Why is a spear better than a stake?

'Cause they're refined, right? Need a certain amount of skill and all. Whereas anyone could sharpen up wood or find a pointy bit of branch and call it a stake.

I don't think so. Other mages have got staffs with blades on. S'ppose I'll find out if it will do anything with mine.

I hope so. I want to be better. I never had the chance, y'know--when I was small, that wasn't something useful to be taught, so no one bothered--and then there was the Circle, and then-- I mean, I've done a load of fighting. But not like that.
