MOD PLOT ↠ AND THOSE WHO SLEPT (CRYSTAL)

FORM: Crystal
SENDER: Various
RECIPIENT: Various
NOTES: This post is to consolidate (and encourage!) crystal chatter during the mod plot: updates on what characters have observed or are doing, asking for assistance with emergencies, updating everyone on injuries or losses, making the occasional joke in poor taste, asking for status reports from particular people or groups, etc. The top-level comments below correspond to the times of day in the log. To keep people on roughly the same page about when a particular discussion is happening, reply to the top-levels with any new discussions you want to start. Within those time frames, major events are happening more or less simultaneously, so you don't need to worry much about the order things are said in beyond that.

Whatever's left of the Pentaghasts, or someone, [ """"""""""""someone"""""""""" ] claiming to be acting on their behalf, I assume.

[ probably from across the courtyard, enjoy the ambient background noise of people shouting ]

Do we have a plan if we can't convince these poor fools to rebel against orders?

I don't know, but killing them all would be a bloody shame. But a bloodier one if they hold fast.

Even if it's a royal decree, though, they're just men.

Killing them isn't an option. [ for now ] It'll create problems for us later, and I think we'd all like to avoid going from one disaster to another.

It would be convenient if we could reach the individual issuing the orders. But if things get bad enough, I hope they'll be unable to stomach leaving the inhabitants of an entire city to be attacked by their forebears.

I don't think we should count on anyone in the palace changing their minds.

No, but I would hope someone could reasonably falsify an order from the palace.

[ a beat ]

But I'm not counting on that either. People are panicking.
