This godless Inquistion shan't do.
[ It's not often that the former Knight-Commander speaks via sending crystal, but today he makes an exception. The message Alayre carries is a dire one. ]
Despite our progress thus far as a sustainable military force, I believe now is the time to mention the lack of faith that many our fellow soldiers lack.
Are we not acting upon the Maker's Will? Are we not representatives of Andraste's might as well?
While we indeed call ourselves The Inqusition, I don't believe many of us fully understand the weight that such a title holds if we're not intune with our faith in a greater good.
[ He's quite aware that this message may irk a few people but he's trying to appeal to those willing to make peace with the Maker and renew their faith. Of course many horrible things have been done in Andraste's name and he condemns them. However, he shan't condemn all of his faith as well. ]
Far too many of us shun the teachings that the Chantry provides and just as many make a mockery of Andraste's plight. Little do any of us realize that it will be our faith to see us through the dark times that shall come. This is why I come to you now in concern, allies and friends. I see that our faith lacks the vigor it needs to carry us through.
( ooc: feel free to threadjack and converse! )

[ Her voice moves from being disappointed to trying to be sympathetic, even if she's irritated with him. But maybe she can try to stop this trainwreck before it gets worse. ]
You're concerned about the state of the Inquisition, and if it's holding up to the standards that are expected of it. I can tell that this is a concern that is very personal to you, and I think that it's a fair one.
I just think that you'd find it far less stressful to yourself to try speaking personally with the Inquisition's leaders about what might be done to fix this, instead of...having a great many people angry at you.

It's downright uncanny how well she reads past his façade and brings him back down to himself each time. Does Beleth really know the Templar that well? Yes. Yes, she does. He can't even argue with her. ]
...I truly don't. The arguing, I mean.
[ He doesn't hardly sound as livid as he did earlier. If anything, he seems somewhat morose now. ]
It's been on my mind to give my grievances to the leaders calmly without such vigor but I never did. I merely held my tongue and hoped to address it sometime later. Alas, I end up giving into my wrath and make a complete ass of myself. Lovely.

I know, Alayre. You're just frustrated. I know that you wouldn't purposely try to be cruel.
[ And now Beleth's tone turns warmer, as she gently nudges him along to getting his calm together. And hopefully staying that way. ]
That's what happens when you keep your anger inside you like that. You lash out without thinking about the consequences. Listen--next time you feel like that, instead of speaking to the Inquisition, you can speak to me, alright? I promise I'll listen, no matter how upset you are. That way, you can organize your thoughts, calm down before you voice them, and I can even try giving some suggestions.
[ She could also get some insider Templar info. ]

All of this discussion thus far has honestly made him weary with a migraine. The poor man worked himself into a rage that boiled over to needless conflict. So, Beleth is right.
He's certainly not cruel. ]
That's a kind gesture, Beleth. I thank you. Had I realized that I misspoken in anger sooner, I would've spared myself all this angst. [ He mumbled quietly. ] I just never realized how much misery I held within until now.
To be frank, this simply won't do.

It's not good to hold onto misery. But lashing out will only make your misery worse.
If you're still upset, I can come listen to you right now, if you would like. If not, then I have a few suggestions for aiding you in dealing with the, ah. Fallout from this. Attempting to make amends.

[ "They" being the advisors of course ]
Making amends is clearly the best and only course to take. Your advice has proven helpful in times past, Beleth. Shall you assist me now?
Forgive this old fool of a Templar.

[ She sighs, just a little, because this isn't going to be fun for him, or anyone, really. ]
The first thing that you need to do is stop replying to argumentative comments. If the person has anger in their voice, you need to let them be. Tempers need to calm down before anything else can happen. There are too many hot heads all around to try to do anything productive for now.
So just...don't reply. If you feel the need to, you can give a short apology, and explain that you need some time.
After that...you need to make an apology. A sincere one. Admit where you went wrong, taking the feelings of those you hurt into consideration, acknowledge those hurt feelings, don't just brush it off by saying that you didn't mean to hurt them. You can say that it wasn't your intention, but it happened, and you have to face that.
After you've admitted what you did wrong, and apologize for it, then lay out the steps that you are taking to avoid this in the future. You...don't need to mention me. But list ways that you are currently making sure that you don't let your words effect others in such a way. And then the steps that you will be taking towards reparations.
If you feel it necessary, you can go to the advisers privately, and ask them what they feel you can do for such reparations.
That would be my advice, Ser Alayre.
