I have been tasked with addressing recent complaints and, well. I'm not sure what to make of any of this, truly. Have things hit such dire straights?

[ There's a shuffle of papers as Sidony begins to read. ]

'The wine is very bad'. Yes, well, ser, you get what you pay for. Perhaps you ought to dig a little deeper and purchase wine that does not affront your tongue? Either that or make some arrangements to have it imported. I'm sure Orlais would adore the business, with things as they are. Where there's a will there's a way, wouldn't you say?

[ Clearly, Sidony is not going to be the most tender of people when it comes to Inquisitorial complaints.

Then there's a soft sound of frustration. ]

I'm not even sure I can read this one. I think that if someone wishes to submit a complaint they should make it legible first, don't you? I can at least try, since it seemed so dearly important - If you are to steel - steal, I think? - cloths... Steal from the rich next time. Is this really something worth the complaints box? Try the guards next time, that might get you somewhere. Or lock your doors.

[ Muffled: Ser Pizzicagnolo, I thought this box was for legitimate complaints? A scoff, until finally - ]

Whoever requested an assistant for the Seneschal, consider yourself in luck. I have taken the task of complaints from his hands today, so that he might focus his attention elsewhere. You're quite welcome. Of course, if you wish to leave other complaints you might find it in it's usual place.

Clearly they have not considered all of their options.

I wouldn't count them out entirely. They'd just like someone else to register their complaint. People are funny that way.

Then there is simply no way to please them.

Were you undertaking this with the idea that you could?

Not at all. I was taken with the novelty of the task.

Of the ones I was asked to share, yes.

That's a shame. I was wondering if anyone was complaining about the food around here, or about certain other broadcasts.

Not as far as I know, but you could ask to read some yourself to find out.

I think I might. Considering my position on the Walrus, handling people's complaints is something of a gift at this point.

Are we expected to resolve any of these problems or just share the complaints with anyone who cares to listen?

I think I would consider this my attempt at resolution, but I haven't been asked to do anything formally. I made gentle suggetions.

Well if that's all, then I'm sure I could excel at this. Perhaps we could consider a joint effort next time the task lands in your lap.

I would be more than happy to share such a thing with you, ser. I'll make sure the Seneschal approves and we can work as a pair.

I can't imagine why the Seneschal would object.

Two is so much more efficient than one, and I can only imagine how many complaints there are piling up, unattended to.

Of course not. I am the Head Surgeon in the Infirmary.

A request can be submitted. In writing, to be reviewed. If it is deemed efficient, and if the project and department for which you, um, with which you are associated, that is--if it can spare you. Then, a loan.

Isn't that a lot of paperwork for a relatively simple task?

I don't thi-- Um. That is to sat, a task must be done properly. With proper documentation. Regardless of its--simplicity.
