( A quiet clearing of the throat; one can naturally assume it is a very beautiful clearing of the throat, done by a very beautiful man. )

This matter of the phylacteries for rifters… it seems sensible. If they are such a valuable resource to the Inquisition, the closing of rifts, and so on, being able to find said resource if a rival power were to try and overpower them and abscond with them makes sense, I think. For their own safety, for our own safety. If Corypheus and his forces were, for example, to make an attack on a party closing a rift and kidnap those rifters for nefarious purposes, it would be better for all if we were able to find them as quickly as possible. The phylacteries are an established way of doing just this, no?

By all means, if you wish to see the world end, protest. Even if this is not your world, though, I think we can all agree that you are currently in it. It’s fate is not entirely irrelevant to you.

I can't disagree there; Lady knows they don't answer for their actions as much as they should. [She could say that such actions always invite push-back, and sometimes make things worse overall. But far be it for her to discourage someone from fighting back, when she never cared for the lowlander ways of life anyhow.] If you think you can get them to answer for their actions, more power to you. Pull a thread, and maybe some of their rot will unravel. Only one way to find out, eh?

Ah, that's a shame. Still, if someone pops out of a rift calling himself the White Wolf, I've a hold to introduce him to that's bound to be flattered.

I alone am hardly enough to force a people so large as the Chantry to answer for anything, but perhaps, in time, I'll find a means to help.

[ or just incite riots and rebellion, no big deal. more important issues at hand right now, though. ] Should he ever come through, I'll be certain to let you know.

Why had you decided to leave your hold, though, for this place?

Because I love lowlanders so much? No, I have an anchor just like you lot. I was hunting and the bad timing marked me. So, I don't have a choice if I want to live without the pain it brings when separated from the others.
