( A quiet clearing of the throat; one can naturally assume it is a very beautiful clearing of the throat, done by a very beautiful man. )

This matter of the phylacteries for rifters… it seems sensible. If they are such a valuable resource to the Inquisition, the closing of rifts, and so on, being able to find said resource if a rival power were to try and overpower them and abscond with them makes sense, I think. For their own safety, for our own safety. If Corypheus and his forces were, for example, to make an attack on a party closing a rift and kidnap those rifters for nefarious purposes, it would be better for all if we were able to find them as quickly as possible. The phylacteries are an established way of doing just this, no?

By all means, if you wish to see the world end, protest. Even if this is not your world, though, I think we can all agree that you are currently in it. It’s fate is not entirely irrelevant to you.

Private forever.

[There is a pause and she considers.]

Yes, but I have used it much of late. It will be difficult to attempt again.

Has someone been taken from you?

i almost had the best response to that question but timing didn't work; may hit your inbox later 8)

[A small, tired laugh.] Maker be thanked, no. They're all where they need to be. [For once.] But it's good to know, if someone does turn up missing. Anything I could think of would require having cast the spell on a person--or something in her possession--before she was taken.

[Another pause on his end.] We've not spoken since the plague, I don't think. [Remiss on his part.] How have you--how are you? In the face of all of this?

Yes hit me up. :D :D :D

I need not have met them, nor know them ere I search, but my mirror is not easily used in Thedas and, unfortunately, I have found that distance is muddied. I do not know the look of these lands; if someone is lost I will require aid, a guide to name what I find.

[Galadriel sighs heavily and, for a moment, forgets that Myr does not know what she seeks. She has said too much and it cannot be taken back.]

Worn and weary; I can hear it calling me and cannot find where it rests. I require it more than I can say and yet...it is beyond me. I will endure but I fear time is running short.

So it seems to be with most rifter magic in Thedas. [He's silent a moment, thinking--if she can do that, scry like that, here on a world that twists her magic to be more like its own--what was she like at home? What was Thranduil like? Formidable, surely.

He does not catch her reference, and the silence extends, in puzzlement and worry. She sounds much as he feels--much worse than he feels.
]

I don't know you've told me what "it" is, lady. But if it's something in my power to help with, I'd aid you, if I could.

[Galadriel is silent a time as she realizes her error. When she speaks again it is with a heavy sigh.]

Perhaps you can, though I know not. In any case it was indelicate of me to speak it over these crystals and foolish of me to reveal my plight to you.

Would that I could speak with you in private, perhaps then we might kn ow if you can aid me.

[Ah. So that...was not meant for his ears.

Another secret on the pile.
]

I'll not breathe a word of it to anyone else, lady.

I could come to you--in an hour or so, I've a little time free, then. [Technically, he ought to lay off arguing over the crystals and attend to his research, but, well.] Or another time, if that's not convenient. Say the word.
